Initially stationed in the Edinburgh system after the completion of the Tau-23 Jump Gate to protect supply lines, the La Riche has now been delegated to a much more important task than the mere shepherding of supply ships. With the Edinburgh system firmly in the hand of the Royal Navy, the La Riche's positioning would have become redundant if it were not for the newly completed Issoudun Drydock, a relatively defenseless installation in its own right. As potent a weapon as Issoudun is, it is still only a station, and as such, the La Riche ensures that there are no unforeseen complications that could hinder the drydock's productiveness
