The UY -258 "Sunbeam" Gallic Civilian Heavy Fighter is more popular among pirates and experienced escort pilots, favouring hardy weaponry and a strong hull at the expense of agility. The Sunbeam may be seen accompanied by its lighter fighter counterpart escorting Gallic corporations, or indeed raiding those very transport ships themselves. Employed by pilots from either side of the conflict, the Civilian line continues to remain a symbol of the divided nation.
