Constructed at Yokohama Shipyards for the Kusari Naval Forces by Samura, the Battleship Myoko was commissioned 117 A.S. Despite being the oldest Kusari battleship still in active service, it has received many overhauls and upgrades over the centuries in order to remain a competitive fighting force. The Myoko was originally scheduled to be decommissioned and moved to the New Tokyo system to serve as a museum, but its operational lifespan was extended first to 815 A.S., and again to 825 A.S. after the Kusari-Bretonia war broke out. The Battleship Myoko is commanded by Shosho Jun Takei, and is presently stationed in the Shikoku system, not far from Deshima Station, in an attempt to stem the ever-increasing piracy from the Independent Worlds.
