Whitefield was recently dispatched from [[New York]] to be stationed in the New Hampshire system. Being one of the newly built battleships of the Navy, its main duty is providing safe haven for local military patrols.

However, Rheinland forces had already positioned for a counterattack. A wing of cloaked bombers destroyed the tugs that were pulling the station component towards Minnesota. After this, a three pronged attack by the Westphalia in the center, and heavy cruiser groups at the flanks, Rheinland assaulted the Liberty fleet. Concord was forced to flee, and Whitefield moved in to engage the Rheinlanders. A bloody battle ensued.

Unwilling to risk their flagships, both Whitefield and Westphalia retreated, while their respective fleets kept trying to gain the upper hand of the area around the station component. Rheinland has not attempted to destroy it outright - leaving Liberty to suspect that whatever is inside is too valuable to destroy. All attempts at boarding the still powered station component have failed.
