Background
Frank Vogel grew up in a small criminal-family in the capital's slum. Frank mother left Frank's father when Frank was only three years old. She went to Rheinland, in fear of the law's force. Since then, they we're a broken family with not many relatives. Although Frank's father was a "born criminal", Frank was quite the opposite. Frank have a astonishing socially equitable way of thinking, like a justice fanatic. Which often caused problems with Frank's father who always talked bad about the Liberty Government. "Our relationship was, fairly said, a miserable one. But i wasn't really a emotional boy. My decisions were always reasoned and wise. And when i gave myself an aim, i puts all effort in it, to reach it, no matter what stands in my way".
Anyways, as said, he didn't fit into his fathers view of the world. Not even a tithe of. So it came, that they'd both had a violten argument, where Frank told him, that if he won't stop with his criminal being, that he'll go for the LSF. This was the last talk they had since now. He was finished with him. "I'm not your son anymore. I wished I'd never been!" - was the last thing he said to his father.
From this day on, Frank first priority was, to fight the criminality in Liberty. He wanted to make Liberty a better place to life. Finally, in 817 AS, Frank got accepted for the Liberty Security Force. And he as such, he served his country now almost a year., with his ship, the "Aerolite". (He gave his Guardian the name for a small aerolite, which was a present from his mother for his third birthday. He'd always seen it as his personal talisman.)
In 819 AS, Frank had enough of chasing simple pirates and fighting in the war agains Rheinland. He was looking for a more challenging mission. Soon, he heard about the "Liberty Navy", and that they're looking for dedicated people. So he decided to take another step forward in his career and applied there.
LSF Career
In late 818, Frank Vogel was able to escape a prison facility from Planet Le Mans in the Maine System (inside Gallia) after several bombs went off inside the facility. The Maquis had placed those bombs and successfully staged a prison break. After escaping the facility, Frank immediately contacted the LSF to arrange Frank's extraction from Gallia. Due to the psychological torture Frank went through, it was difficult for Frank to communicate or be aware of Frank's surroundings for several weeks.
The LSF began planning Operation Century to rescue Frank Vogel. One squadron of LSF pilots were to create a diversion by launching an attack at La Ferte-Bernard while another squadron would rendezvous with Frank at Evron Base and sneak Vogel out of Gallia. Freelancers Simon and Ralph had been hired to to scout out La Ferte-Bernard and its defences so that the LSF can determine which assets were needed. Their information came in useful though Simon was shot down and imprisoned by Gallic forces.
The operation was a success as Alpha Squadron managed to destroy all resistance before enemy reinforcements could show up at La Ferte-Bernard. Meanwhile Bravo Squadron was separated during the flight to Gallia as they have to evade several enemy patrols, though they were able to regroup at Evron Base. The two squadrons were able to regroup in the Anjou system and continued on, with a third squadron at the Orkney system acting as a reinforcement. Two GRN battleships attempted to block the route at the orkney system but the LSF units were able to evade them. The rest of the journey went by uneventfully. When Frank reached back to Manhattan.
