Jakarta was build in 816 A.S. as a safe colony for IMG families within the Taus. Over the past few years, it has evolved and become the most important station for commerce and shipbuilding in the Taus, as well as the regional headquarters where the Board of Guildmasters convenes. Due to its secluded location in the nebulae of Tau-44 and the neutrality of the IMG, it remained untouched by the Gallic occupation. Subsequently, more and more functions of the IMG economy were shifted to Jakarta, helping to preserve their autonomous status by being on the fringe of Gallic jurisdiction.
