Jakarta Orbital Facility was built in 816-817 A.S. as a foundation of Independent Miners Guild colonization of the formerly desolate Tau-39 system. Populated by a large number of miners and their families, the station is an important outpost in the ever ongoing colonization of Tau space by the IMG. Jakarta refines a small amount of Hydrogen mined from the nearby gas giant, producing sufficient Deuterium to fuel the deep space missions launched from this station.
