Sequestered from most prying eyes, Kaarst Drydock ist an eldritch hybrid of human and obviously Nomad technology and the root of the Wild infestation within the Omega-55 system. While as of now unknown to the Corsairs or the Core, neither faction likely would be willing to dedicate enough resources into destroying Kaarst Drydock due to the volatile political climate of Omega-55, which would see them expose themselves to a potential counter offensive from the third party in the system. The Wild benefit from this stalemate, as it allows them to use Kaarst to produce their dreaded Scorpion Gunboats.
It is not clear how far the Wild have dug into the asteroid that Kaarst Drydock is built into. If the Wild did expand the complex deeper into the large asteroid, it is quite possible that the inside of the complex might be much larger than anyone expects -- which could have a significant impact on any plans for the removal of Nomad infested humans from Omega-55
