Kamisu Base is a small outpost the Farmers Alliance recently established in the orbit of the Hikari planetoid. As Synth Foods shipments from Rheinland grew more numerous than those coming from Liberty, the Farmers Alliance found they lacked the range to effectively deal with ships coming up through the Sigmas. Samura covertly transferred a prefabricated small depot to the Alliance in small pieces, that were slowly assembled in orbit of the planetoid. The station became operational in 818 A.S., and the Farmers Alliance activity in the Honshu and Sigma-13 system rose dramatically a short while afterward.
