A former officer in the Liberty Marine Corps, Mireille Ceyes is widely known for her defection to the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army and the bombing of the Manhattan Court Building.
Early life
Born to Libertonian Senator Nicole Ceyes and Liberty Army Brigadier General Henry Snyder, Mireille grew up in a rather conservative, patriotic and also wealthy family. Attending various private elementary schools and graduating from New Manhattan High School in 801 A.S., she decided to follow her fathers footsteps and applied for admission into West Point Military Academy.
Career in the Liberty Marine Corps
With her father holding a high rank in the Corps, her career was a quite fast one; only 6 years (instead of the usual 16-22 years) after her graduation as one of the top students from West Point, she was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and given command of the LMCs 48th Forward Reconnaissance regiment. LSF analysts often cite this extraordinary career as the prime reason for her not being able to handle the pressure she would suffer from during her last assignments, which ultimately led to her going rogue.
Accusations of connections to The Order
After an encounter with an Nomad entity near Maine, which almost resulted in her death, Ceyes has been spotted handing over information to individuals that probably had connection to The Order, a terrorist organization known for the destruction of the RKMS Donau. LSF agents were called in for investigation, but due to a lack of any evidence, Ceyes was declared innocent.
Court-martial and defection to the SCRA
Found guilty of multiple acts of disobedience as well as the murder of 4 LSF Paramilitary Officers during the now-declassified Operation Burning Star, Lieutenant Colonel Mireille Ceyes was sentenced to death on 22nd January 817 A.S., but managed to escape execution thanks to the crew of her personal Gunboat, the White Rose, which was still extremely loyal to Ceyes, despite her crimes. When the court building was stormed by the 48th FORECON, 29 guards were killed, and 10 wounded; the generous use of thermobaric anti-personnel weaponry as well as plastic explosives also led to high structural damage. While not much is known about her (and the 48th's) fate, she is known to now be an agent of the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army, a dangerous class 0 terrorist organization.
Personality
Split between her desire to fight for the "right cause" and the brain washing she was subjected to by both Liberty and the SCRA, Ceyes's actions are hardly predictable. While she has killed in cold blood, she is known to avoid unnecessary bloodshed whenever it is possible, preferring to fight her enemies with words instead of guns. She truly believes in freedom and violently opposes the - in her opinion - corrupt government of Liberty and it's agents, but that does not stop her from showing mercy to the one or other officer she believes to be a "good guy". Regardless, Ceyes is highly dangerous and heavily armed, and contact should be avoided at all costs.
