High Command of the Forty-Sixth Fleet has been hard at work compiling a database for all officers of the Forty-Sixth Fleet to make use of - and one that is envisioned to be of great value to future operations. The database, visible to all officers of the Fleet, contains detailed information on currently active warships that serve within our ranks.
Due to numerous problems that occurred during our attempts to automatize this process, officers of the Forty-Sixth Fleet will be required to manually insert the data of warships they are in command of using the template provided below. All Officers that serve within the Forty-Sixth Fleet and are in command of at least one (1) warship are highly encouraged to log the aforementioned ship(s) using the provided template.
In addition to the vessels listed above, the following vessels are hereby to officially be listed as assets of the Liberty Navy 46th Fleet. As such, they are all formally signed to the current Fleet Admiral for purposes of ownership. Fleet Admiral Martin Kemp-Smith, as such, is duly granted the rights as the sole proprietor of the attached assets.
This post will serve as official documentation of the above and has been passed by a majority vote within High Command, on 21st April 829, and deemed effective immediately.

TO MAKE THINGS EVEN EASIER FOR THE AVERAGE BANANA IQ DISCOVERY FORUM USER I HAVE WRITTEN EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED TO TWEAK IN THIS BBCODE IN CAPS AND I HAVE ALSO INCLUDED EXAMPLES IN PLACES WHERE I ASSUMED THE AVERAGE DISCOVERY FORUM USER WOULD BE UNABLE TO COMPREHEND THE EXTENSIVE TERMINOLOGY USED BY ME.
YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING ToS BY USING THIS BBCODE:
1) DON'T BREAK THE BBCODE OR I'LL BREAK YOUR KNEES.
2) DON'T PLAY IT SMART BY CHANGING THE 'COMPUTERIZED' GREEN TEXT JUST BECAUSE IT'S IN CAPS.

[indent][color=white][font=Agency FB][size=X-Large][b][u]Foreword from the Commanding Officer:[/b][/u][/size][/font][/color][/indent]
[indent][indent][size=small]"The purpose of this document is to provide you, the Officer, with information pertaining to expectations of your duty. All active duty personnel are subject to the following doctrine, regardless of rank held, time in service or any awards previously issued.[/size][/indent][/indent]
[indent][indent][size=small][list]
[*] There is an expectation, in line with your duty, to meet demands not generally found in civilian occupation. Officers will often be required to spend both their working day and leisure time either in the confines of a cockpit, or in garrison while stationed at a variety of Navy installations around Liberty. Such environments may leave you susceptible to stress, or other mentally draining ailments. As such, it is imperative, at all times, that good discipline and good behaviour is practiced.
[*]This document sets out disciplinary rules, reflecting the standards of behavior generally to be expected of all Officers and has been drawn up by the High Command and approved. Observing the Code and the disciplinary rules within it will give Officers a better and more rewarding atmosphere within the 46th and will help to secure the safety of the entire fleet. Disciplinary procedures should not be viewed primarily as a means of imposing sanctions – they are designed to emphasize and encourage improvements in individual conduct. Rules drawn up by High Command relating to conduct should not conflict with the disciplinary rules in the Code.
[/list][/size][/indent][/indent]
[indent][color=white][font=Agency FB][size=X-Large][b][u]Conduct in General Duty or Emergencies:[/b][/u][/size][/font][/color][/indent]
[indent][indent][size=small]In any emergency or other situation in which the safety of a lawful or civilian ship is at stake, the Commanding Officer or Senior officers on scene are entitled to make sure the situation is handled in the best possible way.[/size]
[list]
[*]1.) Obedience of orders.
There can be no exceptions to this rule.
Failure to comply will be treated as among the most serious of breaches of discipline and may also warrant prosecution under the provisions of the 46th Fleet.
[*]2.a) Punctuality
Punctuality is especially important both for the efficient operation of the fleet and to avoid putting extra work on others. This is true of joining a fleet movement at the time appointed, returning from docking facilities, reporting for peace-keeping duty and all other work.
[*]2.b) Duties.
Every Officer should carry out their duties efficiently to the best of their ability. Officers have a right to be told clearly what their duties are and to whom they are responsible for carrying them out; if in doubt, they should ask. Officers must also obey reasonable commands and instructions.
[*]2.c) Treatment of accommodation.
Norfolk Shipyard is both the Fleet's Headquarters and home to service personnel.
Therefore, both personal and shared facilities should be used appropriately with consideration for others.
[*]2.d) Behavior towards others.
A person’s anti-social behavior can be a nuisance to others within the fleet. In extreme circumstances, it can also place the fleet or individual Officers at risk of danger. Such behavior includes but is not limited to abusive language, harassment, bullying, aggressive attitudes and offensive personal habits. Officers should also be considerate towards those who may be asleep whilst others are awake.
[*]2.e) Compliance with fleet rules and procedures.
Any Officer of the 46th must abide by the applicable fleet-specific rules and procedures.
These include, but are not limited to; rules and procedures relating to the Laws of Liberty.
[/list][/indent][/indent]
[indent][color=white][font=Agency FB][size=X-Large][b][u]Breaches of Discipline:[/b][/u][/size][/font][/color][/indent]
[indent][indent][size=small]A procedure for dealing with breaches of disciplinary rules must be backed by appropriate sanctions. These may range, according to the seriousness of the breach, from informal warnings for the most minor breaches, through various grades of warnings, to dismissal from the fleet.
Acts of gross misconduct, examples of which are listed below, may, if appropriate in the circumstances and established to the satisfaction of High Command, lead to dismissal from the fleet immediately. This is separate from any other disciplinary action which may be called for.
[list]
[*]I) Wilful damage to the Fleet's reputation or status.
[*]II) Persistent or wilful failure to perform your duty.
[*]III) Unlawful possession or distribution of contraband, as defined by Liberty Law.
[*]IV) Conduct that endangers the Fleet or personnel unnecessarily.
[*]V) Conduct that detracts from the day-to-day functions and operations of the Fleet.
[*]VI) Behaviour conducive to the detriment of other personnel within the Fleet; such as bullying, harassment, intimidation or coercion.
[/list]
When a warning, other than an informal warning, is given; the offending Officer will be advised of the likely course of action and invited to attend a meeting with the Admiraly[/size][/indent][/indent]
[indent][indent]DISCLAIMER: The Fleet Admiral reserves the right to administer disciplinary proceedings as deemed appropriate by Navy Regulations. In the event you breach this Code of Conduct, you may be subjected to all, or any, of the following:
[list]
[*]Immediate suspension
In serious cases the Fleet Admiral may suspend an Officer from duties and take such action to preserve the integrity of the fleet and its Officers, as he considers appropriate.
[*]Initial meeting/Informal Warning
An Officer who is alleged to have breached the disciplinary rules will be called to a meeting with a member of the High Command to assess the situation as appropriate. At the meeting, the Officer will be told of the alleged breach, given the opportunity to give his/her explanation and say whether s/he admits it. If the Admiral is satisfied that no further action is called for or that the breach needs no more than an Informal Warning, s/he will proceed accordingly, and the matter will then be regarded as resolved. If the Admiral decides that formal action is required, the Officer will be advised accordingly. In the discretion of the Fleet Admiral, the Officer may be suspended from duty.
[*]Formal action
An Admiral or the Fleet Admiral will investigate the allegation. Statements may be taken from witnesses. The investigation should be completed without delay. If, following the investigation, the Admiral or Fleet Admiral concludes that no further action is called for, or that the breach needs no more than an informal warning, s/he will proceed accordingly, and the matter will then be regarded as resolved. If the Admiral or Fleet Admiral concludes that formal disciplinary action is called for:
[/list]
If there is no current prior-warning and the breach is one of a lesser degree, the Admiral or Fleet Admiral will undertake a disciplinary hearing or refer it to an appropriate Officer for action. If there is a current prior-warning or if the breach is sufficiently serious to warrant disciplinary action, the Admiral or the Fleet Admiral will undertake a disciplinary hearing. If the breach falls under gross misconduct, the Fleet Admiral will undertake a disciplinary hearing.
[/indent][/indent]
[indent][indent][size=small]Any Officer subjected to the Disciplinary Procedure as detailed in this doctrine, may freely raise an appeal against the reprimand, providing it meets any, or all of the following criteria:
[list]
[*]Dismissal from the fleet
[*]Demotion and/or loss of seniority of assignment
[*]Final warning
[/list]
- Appeals must be made in writing and without delay.
- Officers will record the grounds of their appeal in all instances.
- Appeals may be ruled our of time if made later than seven working days after the Officer received written notification of the reprimand and disciplinary action.
- If an appeal is made but deemed to be insufficient, it will be dismissed and without further hearings.
- The Admiralty will arrange a meeting to discuss and review the appeal with the offending Officer.
- The Admiralty, exclusively the Fleet Admiral, retains the right to inform offending Officers, either by means of a meeting, or formal communication.

Laid down: July 780 A.S. Launched: April 781 A.S. Commissioned: September 782 A.S. Motto: "Don't Mess with Texas!" Status: Active service Hull Number: BB-35 Serial Number: LNW-SSN-775 Flag Officer: Admiral Aden Tanner Commanding Officer: Admiral Aden Tanner
Commissioned in 782 A.S., the LNS-Texas has served Liberty with distinction for over 50 years.
Despite her age, she remains one of the most powerful and heavily armed warships in the Liberty Navy.
Her latest refit in 829 A.S. brought her systems in line with the current state of the art (Mitchell-class).
She currently serves as the flagship of Admiral Aden Tanner, Executive Officer of the Forty-sixth Fleet.
Aden was born in 786 A.S. on planet Houston to a modest family of veterans. Growing up on planet Houston, life was good. His father and mother, both of whom served in the Liberty Navy, were dedicated parents who strived to give Aden and themselves the best life they could afford. They were the typical Libertonian working-class family, honest and patriotic. Growing up, he would listen to the stories of his parent's service in the Navy, particularly his father, a fighter pilot. He always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, so in 804 A.S., shortly after turning eighteen, he applied and was accepted into West Point Academy.
In 806 A.S., Tanner graduated from West Point Academy with the rank of Ensign and was stationed aboard the LNS-Texas. He would serve with the ship's fighter squadron for ten years. As a pilot, he would receive multiple promotions along with a prominent scar down his right cheek from a piece of shrapnel that blew through his cockpit.
In 816 A.S., Tanner is promoted to Commander and reassigned as a basic flight instructor at West Point, where he will serve for the next four years. When promoted to Captain in 820 A.S., he requests reassignment to the Second fleet and is given command of the LNS-Ranger, an Interdictor class Battlecruiser.
In 827 A.S., Tanner is recruited into the "Forty-sixth Strike Force." He is later given a field promotion from Captain to Vice Admiral on the orders of Fleet Admiral James Horatio Creed. Newly promoted, Tanner's first official action is to take command of the LNS-Texas as his flagship.
In 829 A.S., Tanner is promoted to Admiral, making him one of the youngest four-star Admirals in Navy history, at only forty-three years of age. Admiral Tanner currently serves as the Forty-sixth Fleet's Executive Officer and the Commanding Officer of the LNS-Texas.
The LNS-Texas was laid down at Norfolk shipyard in July of 780 A.S. and would take just over two years to reach completion. She was commissioned in September of 782 A.S. Her intended purpose was to project naval power along the borders of Liberty. This mission would see her entering the interior systems only for crew rotations, resupplies, and standard maintenance. In the years following her commissioning, she would perform her standard patrol duties across Liberty's border regions as intended. However, in 792 A.S., she was temporarily reassigned to bolster defenses at the Bering jump gate while her sister ship, the LNS-Rio Grande, would be engaged in the Hudson system. For the next eight years following the Hudson campaign, Texas would perform her intended role uninterrupted, maintaining order and power projection in Liberty's frontier regions.
Following the Nomad War of 801 A.S., Texas would undertake her first significant maintenance overhaul at Norfolk Shipyard before returning to her standard patrol duties the following year. In 806 A.S., then Ensign Aden Tanner would serve aboard Texas as a combat pilot with the ship's Defender fighter wing; this would be his first posting. Ensign Tanner would serve with distinction aboard Texas for ten years, earning the rank of Commander before being reassigned in 816 A.S... Texas would continue her standard patrol duties for another ten years following Tanner's reassignment, but her steadfast presence on the frontier never wavered. During 802 to 826 A.S., Texas and her fighter wing would see many skirmishes with Xeno and Liberty Rogue forces in the frontier regions. These skirmishes would earn the ship, its pilots, and crew countless awards for bravery, heroism, and skill under fire.
In 827 A.S., Texas was again moored at Norfolk Shipyard for her second major maintenance overhaul. Even pushing fifty years of active service, she was not to be decommissioned. However, her command staff, fighter squadron, and the entire crew were reassigned to different postings. Due to recent budgetary cuts, she was to be removed from frontline duty and handed over to the Second fleet reserves. At around this time, however, Vice Admiral Aden Tanner of the Forty-sixth Strike Force got wind of Texas's fate and requested she be reassigned as his flagship. Having cut his naval teeth aboard Texas, he was determined to see her returned to her former glory.
In 828 A.S., the Forty-sixth was re-designated from a mere strike force into a fully-numbered fleet, and thus, many of its capital ships would undergo further modernization. One year later, in 829, A.S., the now Admiral Aden Tanner, Executive Officer of the Forty-sixth Fleet, would oversee the complete modernization of the LNS-Texas at Norfolk Shipyard. These latest upgrades would bring her systems in line with the current state of the art (Mitchell-class), cementing her place among the most powerful warships in the Liberty Navy.
The sister ship of the Order’s infamous flagship, the Osiris, the Akhetaten is the only other vessel of its class ever constructed natively by Liberty.
Following its deployments in the war with Rheinland and later the Gallic Invasion of Sirius, the Akhetaten was left abandoned by Navy Command, mothballed in naval drydocks, until one of its few surviving officers, senior-most among his peers, petitioned for the ship’s reactivation, repair, and reintroduction into active service. Now entering its third decade of service with the Liberty Navy, the Akhetaten has received numerous refits, serving at times as a stealth-reconnaissance ship, ship-of-the-line, or support vessel. While outdated and underpowered compared to late production Overlord or modern Mitchell-class dreadnoughts, continuous modernization efforts have maintained the Akhetaten’s competitiveness in both solo and fleet operations.

Biography
Born on Planet Denver, Maria's life was nothing out of the ordinary. Both of her parents worked for the Liberty Navy, but their stories would both end tragically. Her mother would participate in Universal Shipping convoys as an escort quite often, one of which would end up being the end of her as they got ambushed by a pack of Rogues. Nobody made it out alive. Her life was brought upside-down when her mother died, leaving a twelve year old Maria behind with her father.
Her father became a lot more strict with Maria after those events while at the same time he fully dedicated himself into his work. Maria grew up without having any friends as a result of the scars created in her from her mother's death and her father's attitude. She was what you'd refer as 'the lonely girl' in every class she took part in, but that of course had it's positives. Maria was consistently the top student, her efforts of course not being recognized by her father however.
The next two decades of her life went by in a similar manner. Maria ended up joining the Navy after multiple talks with her father, just after she was done with her education. At the age of thirty-two she would become a Captain and be assigned in command of her first battleship.
Life, however, still decided not to go easy on her.
Maria's father took part in the war between Liberty and Gallia, unfortunately losing his life in Liberty's final stand against the battleship Carcassonne and her fleet, at California. The loss of her father when Maria was only at the age of thirty-five devastated her once again. She spent the next year hopping in and out of various hospitals, and going through many psychological exams before the medical personnel would let her back into the Navy.
When she returned to her job, at eight-two-six after settlement, Maria was much colder than what everyone remembered. Her experiences along with the various ins and outs on hospitals surely had taken their toll on her well-being. She still is, up to this day, however a much respected Captain, her commanding capabilities being second to none. She was proudly assigned with commanding the battleship Akhetaten on the seventeenth of September, eight-two-eight after settlement, after ex-Commodore Christopher Edwards filed his resignation from the Libertonian armed forces.
Maria continues to command the Akhetaten with incomparable might and decisiveness to this day, rendering it one of the most feared battleships to Liberty's enemies and a valuable asset to the Libertonian war machine.

Biography
Samantha was born on Planet Denver to an economically well family and her childhood and teenage years passed by without any difficulties. Her father was a mercenary, working mostly as a convoy escort, while her mother had an office job in the Liberty Navy. The loss of her father at the age of seventeen struck Samantha hard, effectively changing her life from that point on.
She completely let go of any dreams she had about growing up, and living the rest of her life, planet-side and - despite her mother's attempts - decided she would follow her father's desires and become a pilot herself. Less than a year after his sudden death, Sam would find herself applying to the Liberty Navy Secondary Fleet at West Point Military Academy. The positive response which arrived a few days later hit her with great surprise and fed her with the much needed confidence in order to proceed with her goal.
She entered the Academy and begun her courses; a total of six years worth of training, after which she would be a capable pilot both in snubcraft and in capital ships operated by the Libertonian armed forces. The next six years of her life would go by swiftly as she alternated between the Academy, during her training months, and her home at Denver during her various vacations. After she was done, her instructors and herself noticed that she had a preference towards flying larger ships and she showed an increase of performance in those ship classes. She was offered to attend to two more years of advanced capital ship training - an offer that only a fool would turn down.
Once her training was complete, and at the age of twenty-six, Samantha walked out of the Academy in her newly acquired Navy uniform and headed home to a very proud mother - despite her disapproval of her daughter's life choices. Sam wouldn't waste any time before beginning to work for the Liberty Navy and she would quickly gain respect among her ranks - after all there weren't many officers that had a whole eight years spent in West Point before being in space.
After two years of gaining even more experience in the field to back up her theoretical knowledge gained from her training, Samantha thought it was about time to join a primary fleet. Looking through her options, she made her decision and applied to the Forty-Sixth Fleet, hoping to receive a similar notification like the one she did ten years ago.
Today, two years after her initial approval, Samantha has reached the rank of Captain within the Forty-Sixth Fleet and has seen many successful operations under her name. During those two years, Samantha has had the time to perfect her flying skills outside the common simulators, and she has become a fearsome gunboat captain, recognized by many as a major threat to the opposition.
A significant chance was provided to the young Captain to evolve her career when the Fifth Fleet's Akhetaten transferred over to the Forty-Sixth. With the warship being long in requirement for a new executive officer, the Fleet was more than capable of fulfilling then Commodore Maria Uhmen's request. Captain Samantha Brown was the individual that was lucky enough to be chosen for that spot, and ever since then her life within the Liberty Navy has changed drastically for the better.
Samantha continues to serve Liberty with great pride, honor and commitment as the Akhetaten's executive officer, occasionally being seen taking command of different gunboat sized vessels in order to eliminate any bothersome threats.

Biography
██████ ██████ was both in planet New Tokyo from a fairly wealthy family. Having the best teachers and managing to reach adulthood passing every exam with flying colors, ██ had every opportunity to become something big in ███ life. From a very young age, ██████'s dream was to explore Sirius and much to ███ parents' disapproval, ██ would go to one of the best flight academies in Kusari to learn how to fly a ship. The basics were very quickly understood, and ██████ was able to move on to more advanced lessons, finishing the academy and being granted with ███ diploma after two years.
██████ immediately left home and started wondering around Sirius, slowly beginning to fulfill ███ dream of free exploration. Not wanting to rely on ███ parents' economical support, ██████ would use ███ skills to provide escorts and fulfill scouting contracts all around Sirius and for whoever paid the most, making ███ name well known. Soon enough, large companies would begin hiring ███ by their own request, leading ██████ to climb the salary ladder a lot sooner than ██ had anticipated.
Out of all of ██████'s journeys, one would leave ███ impressed. On 827 A.S. a convoy ██████ was part of lead him into Liberty Space, a place that - after seeing - ██ did not want to move away from. [ERROR: DATA CORRUPTION]
About two years into Laura's career with the Fifth Fleet, an opportunity was presented to her after a major change in the ranking structure within the crews of a recently re-introduced Osiris-class battleship, the Akhetaten. With the warship's current commanding officer retiring from the Navy, the shift in ranks left the spot of the chief communications officer free. Seeing Laura as a valid candidate and after placing a temporary and more experienced individual on that place, Laura was selected by the Akhetaten's new commanding officer, Maria Uhmen, to take up the spot of communications officer aboard the ship.
Showing great discipline, decisiveness, diplomatic skills and patience, Laura quickly made a name for herself within the crew and in minimal time had taken over the spot of chief communications officer aboard the Navy battleship. Her career would continue in the exact same way for the next year, after which the Akhetaten would transfer over to the Forty-Sixth Fleet.
After the transfer to the Forty-Sixth - and perhaps for a few months prior to that - Laura's performance has been questionable at best. Having been disciplined a number of times, including being temporarily demoted, Laura's conduct constantly puts the ship's commanding and executive officers hard at work attempting to cover up for her mishaps. Uhmen - who's patience is close to running out - is doing her best to convince Brown that Silva is not what Brown has seen so far and that she can get work done, while the latter is having a hard time to believe her superior and has requested Silva's removal from the crew - or at least permanent demotion - a number of times.
The LNS-Akhetaten was constructed at Juneau Shipyard, [REDACTED]. The battleship has been in service since before 811 A.S. with multiple successful assignments on her name, the most notable ones being a number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) of operations in deep Rheinland space and the Tau systems. The Akhetaten was repurposed multiple times during her service, primarily operating as a deep space self-sustainable reconnaissance unit. It is believed the battleship fell victim to the Gallic forces during the war and was disabled after an unsuccessful operation by the Carcassonne and her fleet at 824 A.S. however no intelligence downloaded from the on-board black box confirms this incident. The Akhetaten was towed back from the Manchester system suffering heavy damage and multiple casualties, destined to spend the rest of her time forgotten in one of Juneau Shipyard's dry-docks.
No more than 2 years later, a former crew-member and Commander on board the battleship woke up from a coma only to find out that the Akhetaten was never repaired, abandoned by the admiralty as a failed project. After spending the next months recovering from his injuries his immediate goal was to get the Akhetaten repaired and battle-ready once again. The former Commander contacted the 1st and 5th Fleets as well as the LSF requesting clearance for the Akhetaten to return in active duty. His request was accepted under the condition that he would be the one to take command of the vessel, being the most capable man alive out of the few survivors. Christopher Edwards gladly accepted the admiralty's proposal and begun overseeing the Akhetaten's repairs for the next two months before the battleship was in full combat-ready state. Captain Edmund Mallory, a respected officer within the Navy and a friend of Christopher, offered his help in the Akhetaten's re-purposing through the recommendation of capable crew members for Edwards to assign into the Osiris-class battleship. Numerous training exercises would follow to ensure that the battleship's crew were ready for the task that was at hand - optimal operation of a prototype warship - with Commander Jeremiah Sawyer of the First Fleet taking part in the most notable of the exercises.
The Akhetaten would resume serving the Republic, taking part in many operations over the next few months, including defending allied installations, recconnaisance missions in the newly discovered Omicron Nu system, responding to an emergency within Alaska and wiping a sizeable invading Nomad fleet, and taking down the Discovery, a well known Insurgency asset and a considerable threat to Liberty. All of the missions the Akhetaten would partake in and the numerous incidents of direct cooperation with vessels of the Fifth Fleet as well as the ship's history with it would eventually lead Edwards to request the Akhetaten's return to the Fifth.
Now part of the Liberty Navy Fifth Fleet, being deployed in multiple high-interest areas such as Coronado, Kansas, Vespucci and Kepler, the battleship has proven to be highly capable in dealing with everything thrown at it. With her work being recognized by the Republic the battleship is expected to have the ability to operate under harsh conditions and is equipped to be able to independently carry on operations should the need arise. Most of the equipment the Akhetaten is equipped with is highly classified, featuring the most advanced counter-intelligence and cyber-warfare systems known to humanity with a vast array of sensors at her disposal. Coupled with her deadly weaponry arsenal and hull hardness, the battleship is a force to be reckoned with. Of course, the battleship's purpose goes beyond combat alone, with the warship taking part in numerous diplomatic talks, intelligence sharing and even reporting troublesome individuals to the Liberty Police Incorporated. The most notable task the Akhetaten has managed to achieve is the cooperation between the Fifth Fleet and the Section Eight, documented for ease of reference by the Fleet. The warship's actions and all the tasks related to it would directly effect the future of Liberty, shaping it in the way that was deemed by the Fifth Fleet to yield the best results for the Republic.
With the ship's fame and responsibilities increasing over time, Edwards quickly realized that being able to rapidly move around key systems was mandatory. With the Akhetaten's already installed jump-drive, all the warship needed was a way to access up-to-date coordinates, which Edwards would leave to The Starfliers to handle. However, it would become apparent to both him and the Fleet's Command that the Akhetaten was beginning to face even bigger issues, issues related to the age of the vessel. It was no secret to anyone that the Akhetaten is an old ship, commissioned on May 1st of 803. Scrapping the project however would seem to be a rather foolish idea after seeing the great successes it has been bringing to Liberty so far. Instead, Command decided to approve of a re-purpose of the ship to match today's standards, bringing it up-to-date with the warships she has to face and the tasks she must accomplish. Edwards would be tasked with contacting Deep Space Engineering, Ageira Innovations and Universal Shipping Incorporated in order to handle supplying the materials that were necessary for the completion of Project Akhetaten.
With the ship's commanding officer, Christopher Edwards, resigning from the Navy on the 17th of September of 828, after the vessel's XO, Maria Uhmen, convinced him that his conduct would be harmful not only to him but the entire warship, she took charge with the goal of learning from Edwards' mistakes and making sure they will never be repeated again. The warship would continue it's tradition of reinforcing the diplomatic relations between the different fleets of the Navy, including ships of the secondary fleet, and was also the leading force that would be moved into California in order to ensure the safety of the system, ensuring that curious Freelancers would not get involved in the Navy's business in the vicinity.
With the Forty-Sixth Fleet requesting assistance in Vespucci, the Akhetaten would be ordered to resupply at Norfolk shipyard and be re-deployed in Kansas, following Battleship Delaware and her invasion deep inside Insurgency space. The Akhetaten would remain with the Delaware at all times, with the two battleships and the battlegroup following them managing to cleanse the entirety of Kansas system from any unlawful entities before marching into Vespucci for the final push against the Insurgency. The Akhetaten would pull away from the Delaware in order to return to the California system, with LIBWESTCOM being left in a weak state after the Osiris-class was deployed into Kansas. The Delaware would be destroyed by the Insurgency during the final assault, granting them some degree of freedom of movement in the region. The LSF would soon acquire worrying intelligence regarding movements of large Insurgency fleets through Magellan and contacted the Akhetaten to warn the battleship of a possible Insurgency invasion within California. Uhmen, seeing the currently weak state of California after the Navy's resources were allocated into Vespucci would send an emergency transmission to all Liberty forces operating within the Akhetaten's vicinity, requesting their presence in the California system. To nobody's surprise, the Insurgency would in fact invade the system, managing to inflict massive damage on the Akhetaten and putting the battleship out of service for a short period of time before their forces were completely wiped out. These events would lead Uhmen to contact the Fleet Admiral of the Fifth with the request of forming a battlegroup around the Akhetaten, with the idea being accepted by the Fleet Admiral and implemented immediately as Task Force Akhetaten, lead by the flagship LNS-Akhetaten.
The Akhetaten's actions and her numerous successes in the field would grant the battleship with the Presidential Unit Citation award, her service being recognized by the Secretary of Defense and all of the Liberty Navy. Today, the Akhetaten is serving the Republic both as a warship capable of operating behind enemy lines and as a powerful foe to face in direct combat, with Task Force Akhetaten being formed under the battleship's command.
A former property of The Core's former guildmistress, The Umbra has been through hell and back to hell and back. A part of a project that never saw the day of light, this particular "Mako"-class Battleship has been outfitted with an Enhanced Artificial Intelligence that manages 90% of the ship's systems, which allowed to reduce the ship's necessary crew numbers to a bare minimum and to ensure absolute accuracy of its defense grid.
The Umbra started as a "Bullhead"-class Battlecruiser back when it was originally laid down in 825 A.S, sponsored and commanded by Tricia Reyes. Originally, the ship would serve as a reconnaissance and long-range support vessel, as such it had to be outfitted with a cloaking device. Later on, such device would prove to be slightly inefficient as it would render the ship undetectable only for the scanners.
To achieve maximum efficiency, Reyes needed to have her ship invisible entirely. As she climbed through the ranks, she patented a project for a technical extension of her battlecruiser's cloaking device - a network of cameras and holographic projectors used for real-time emulation of the ship's surroundings. A complex network such as this one would require an enhanced AI to operate, and developing it for something not mass-produced sounded counterproductive. The Umbra would later be retrofitted into a "Mako"-class Battleship to ensure the project's maximum ambush and reconnaissance potential.
Unfortunately, sudden disappearance of the Core's guildmaster at a time caused a massive shudder within the higher ranks. The Core has changed its strategy, and with this this change, project "Umbra" was perceived as "an unnecessary waste of valuable resources and finances" and was later discontinued.
After the discovery of Omicron Nu and a diplomatic disaster that followed, Tricia Reyes has parted ways with the Core, ordering the rest of her crew to stay vigilant and fend off the Nomad threat in the Omicrons. As the years would go on, the Umbra's crew would become frustrated with the Core's course of action - a rise of tensions between the Core and Liberty, as well as the Core's growing ties with Malta have forced them to consider their options. Under Jeffrey Asterius' command, the Umbra has made a run for Omicron Nu undetected and untracked, asking Liberty for protection and offering to serve it in return.
Months of requalification and constant surveillance later, the Umbra and her crew have become an official part of the Forty-Sixth fleet.

Built in the years before the Gallic attack on New London, the Essex specialised in relief effort for the duration of the war. After returning to Liberty briefly after the wars' end she received a refit to fulfill her new purpose as a blockade ship in the defense of the recently established jumpgate in Omicron Nu. After her second year in the blockade, she suffered critical damage during a large scale Outcast attack and had to return to the Norfolk Shipyard. She was moored there for several months until being put back into active service by the 46th Liberty Fleet in 830 A.S. .

Biography
Rachel was born on Planet Pittsburgh as the daughter of two minimum wage logistic workers. Their life wasn't anything to go by, with her parents probably sending her to go the same way as they once did, trading their education for an early start into the working life, helping to keep the family financially afloat. Since the young Rachel would have nothing of what her parents told her to do, she was frequently faced with the local security officers and even low ranking LSF members that had ended up on this floating, brown mining colony. Her life would continue this way for around eighteen years. Tensions between her and her parents rose due to her unwillingness to accept her destined life as an underpayed rock-pusher. However, eventually there would be a turningpoint for her, briefly after stealing a shipment of food from the local garrison that was home to the same guards she kept getting into trouble with over sometimes more, sometimes less important matter.
At this point, the authorities last resort was to send her to one of Libertys many prison stations for the sum of her crimes. Quite the waking call for someone at her age. While none of her smaller offenses were ever enough for a serious sentence, they would all raise the duration of her jailtime. Faced with the fact that she would spend more than her current lifetime in prison it would throw her off the path she had chosen up to this point. From actually working for the money to pay back for some of her fines, to redistributing the remaining stolen supplies - she would actually go out of her way to avoid her sentence. In about one year her view would shift from seeing the authorities as the oppressors of her people, to realising that she was basically half, if not more, of that whole issue. Those officers weren't out there to put every person they could find behind bars, but were simply ordered to keep this colony running.
As her motivation to follow her parents' footsteps was still rather low, a well paid job as one of those officers seemed rather endearing. However, Rachel quickly had to find out that someone with a criminal record longer than their CV would not be eligible for service in the LSF. As luck would have it though, the rising amount of Gallic attacks on Bretonia had the Navy periodically lower its recruiting requirements down to the point of actually allowing citizen without a flawless record to enlist themselves for service within the fleet. This would begin her time as a recruit for the fifth Liberty Navy Fleet.
With her amongst a number of other citizen from Pittsburgh they would all be taken to West Point station to absolve their entry tests and be categorized for service. Without any prior education it would take her a total of three attempts to pass the written exams to qualify for her enlistment. Her early life within the fleet was plagued by sleepless nights full of studying, visiting courses about anything from Libertonian law, down to improving her reading and writing. Contrary to most of the other recruits who would more often suffer with physical exams, simply catching up on what most of the others had received early into their life would take up most of her innitial two years within the fleet, exclusively spent at the rank of recruit, later on ensign. Rachels third year would start off with a wind of change however, with her being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and Lt. Commander around half a year later. As Bretonia was mere months away from an all out invasion, the fleet's high command saw an ever increasing need for soldiers capable of piloting capital ships - even resulting in sending lower ranking individuals to attend classes on commanding capital ships.
By the time that Gallia sent its invasion forces, Rachel had begun to establish herself as the commanding officer of the 'Atlantis'-Class Carrier Essex. The ship's main purpose was to supply relief effort to the stations and planets that the joined forces of Bretonia and Liberty would liberate once Gallic forces had been pushed back to their homeland - and hopefully beyond that. Upon the Essex' arrival in the New London system the ship was sent directly to its capital planet in order to blockade the Gallic invasion forces that had launched a desperate last effort attack. Yet with how focused the invaders were on making New London a second Planet Leeds, they would entirely ignore the recently assembled blockade around the planet and break right through the planet's atmosphere. Given the situation, Rachel could not justify remaining on the Essex' bridge and took to flight in her Waran snubcraft against the orders she had been given. A desperate rush to the planet's surface would ensue, with Libertonian and Bretonian forces attempting their best to take out any of the Gallic destroyers on their suicide mission to glass the planet. While the attackers were eventually eliminated, the captain's snubcraft would be hit by several projectiles from one of the destroyer's point defense batteries, resulting in an explosion of the bomber's ammunition compartment. From this point onwards Rachel would know nothing but the insides of a hospital room for several months as doctors tried their best to see her through this.
After having mostly recovered from being paralized downwards from the hip, she would reach out to the fifth's high command to return to active service as soon as possible. After several additional medical exams it was decided to dispatch the Essex with Rachel as its commanding officer to the somewhat recently established jumpgate in Omicron Nu to establish a good foothold in this new area. With the carrier's ability for long term self-sustainability and given that at first the mission was deemed low risk it would seem like the best place she could find herself - which was true at first. For the first couple of months the emergency drills would keep her and the crew more busy than actual encounters with bandits. While it was definitely to the distaste of some more adventureous crewmembers, it gave Rachel the time to get herself back into the position she almost had to give up entirely due to her accident.
However, eventually tensions would rise and information about Liberty's foothold in Nu would spread, causing a spike in activity around the area. While most interferences with the likes of Outcasts would end without noticeable impact on the Essex, about eighteen months into her deployment she would encounter the heaviest beating since her launch around five years ago. After an Outcast battlecruiser managed to breach deeply into the Essex' defense it managed to land a full broadside of all of its cannons, almost puncturing the carrier's hull down to the main reactor. The tide of battle would sway in the Navy's favor with the arrival of a sizeable battlegroup, yet there was no way the mobile repair ships would be able to return the ship to its original shape. Shortly after the battle concluded, Rachel would give the command for the carrier to make its way back to New York, Norfolk Shipyard, accompanied by the battlecruiser Crescent.
With the Essex moored in one of the Norfolk's docks for major repairs, the captain spent most of her time educating the less experienced recruits and ensigns of the Fifth Fleet. While she loved hearing the experiences younger soldiers and get their input on current topics and events, she desired a change of pace. The rising monoty of her current position and recent encounters with the forty-sixth Fleet eventually lead to her reaching out to both fleet's high command to arrange something.
The "Atlantis"-Class Carrier Essex is one of the newer additions to the Forty-Sixth Navy Fleet. Due to the increasingly escalating war between Bretonia and Gallia in 825 A.S. the building process for this behemoth would be completed within little more than two years to strengthen Libertonian relief efforts in New London primarily. Given this specific task that the ship would be assigned, she was fitted with larger than usual cargoholds and all but some of the carrier's snubcraft would be replaced with landing craft suited for planetary entry. Due to her young age, the carrier was built with some of the most up to date technical developments in mind, also allowing her to be fit for a variety of tasks.
Once the battle of New London had concluded, the Essex was sent to Planet Leeds in order to provide both escorts for repairships, as well as medical transports that would be the first to set foot into the Leeds system after the Gallic's retreat. She would remain in Bretonia for another few months before returning back to Liberty to be rearmed, resupplied and refit for her new purpose - border control and self-sufficient enforcement of Liberty's presence in a hostile enviroment.
Despite being almost brand new, considering the overall age of Liberty's fleets, the Essex would receive her first upgrade not even two years into service. Her scanners were upgraded to increase detection range and give her the ability for detailed analytics about the bandit's armament and hull specifications. Some parts of her hangar bay were replaced with greenhouses and modular cargobays, further improving on her already extended combat-readiness inbetween resupplies. To make up for the decreased hangar size, she would lose all but a few of her landing craft and give home to some of the Navy's most recently developed fully automatic snubcraft with various kinds of ordnance. Forgoing the need for a pilot and thus being more compact, these drone-like fighters and bombers would retain the carrier's ability to engage a variety of threats.
After passing her trial flights with this new set of upgrades, she would be sent directly towards the recently established jumpgate in the Omicron Nu system to grant Liberty a foothold in the area. During the two year period in this alien space the Essex was put up against a variety of threats, ranging from Outcast raiders all the way to nomad probes of various sizes. The ability to adapt all sorts of foes and objectives turned out to be her biggest calling card in this dangerous enviroment. However, no triumph lasts forever and so it would eventually lead to a large scale Outcast attack on the gate, during which the carrier's main reactor was critically damaged, narrowly missing a disaster. She was towed back to the Norfolk Shipyard for emergency repairs, and following another upgrade package including her armor plating and power generators. Concluding these upgrades were the preparations to fit a personal jumpdrive to the ship during her next stay in the shipyard to further improve on her adaptability.
