Geordi Forbes (her proper name being Jordan Forbes) is a trained Order spy, recruited from and now operating within the Libertonian Junkers as she gathers intelligence from various parts of Sirius. She is known as “Fixer” to most of other Junkers. She frequents Leeds and Rochester, and is easily spotted by her signature Collector, the ‘Rafale’. Station side though she is easy to pick out of a crowd, as seen here: Note the heavy build, dark hair, tanned skin, and the orange utility jumpsuit (usually seen in this outfit). One minor annoyance she suffers is that usually other pilots typically refer to her as a male, which is not surprising, given her name and personality. She normally works as a salvager and mechanic.

Background

Geordi Forbes was born to a Junker on Planet Manhattan, who was really hoping for a son. His first-born had grown up to become a chef, and he hoped that his next son would grow up to do something ’manlier’. Of course when he got a daughter, he decided to make the best of the situation. Geordi was practically raised as a boy, often on the receiving end of jokes from other kids growing up. She worked in her father’s repair shop as an apprentice for a while, until she eventually took a job at the LPI flight academy. Nothing special really, she worked as a janitor there… but for her, the chance to get close enough to even see the high tech Liberty fighters was worth it. Being mechanically inclined, she was able to solve several of the mechanical problems with some of the ships… problems that were meant for the students to solve. Some of the technicians eventually took note of her, and took her under their wing, offering even more in-depth knowledge of Liberty starships. She studied starship engineering for some time afterwards. Eventually though, she gravitated back to her Junker roots, visiting Rochester more and more. There and on Manhattan she worked odd-jobs and often repaired ships, eventually earning a nickname for herself, ‘Fixer’, because of the top notch mechanical repairs she is capable of.

Mostly self serving, Geordi seems to always have an ulterior motive. When she repairs ships she often copies their schematics or other info from their computers for instance. Even her current work with the Order has her gathering information she is using for her own ends. She is more interested in what she can learn from the Order than what the Order actually stands for. But just below herself, the Order comes in high on her list of priorities, and likely wouldn’t betray them any time soon. Not overtly. She doesn't want to see all of Sirius go down in flames due to the Nomads either.

Current Operations

Currently she is operating out of Junker bases in the Sirius sector. Generally she brags her repair skills are second to none, saying she is only outperformed by a crew of trained House Military mechanics. In addition to her work repairing ships, she also hires herself out to merchants as an escort. This also allows her to record the movement of goods throughout Sirius. She has fallen in with a variety of crowds ranging from Corsairs, the Bretonians, and even Orbital Spa and Cruise (a few escorts in exchange for a week’s stay on a Luxury Liner). She seems to have taken a liking to the idea of getting rich out in Sirius as a more acceptable long term goal, although she has to maintain her regular reports to the Order. She is most commonly found operating out of Rochester when in Liberty space.

Recently she has been frequenting the edges of the Sigma systems on what she cited as "special salvage operations". In reality she has been working closely with the Order.

Ship

Geordi flies the CSV II Collector ship called the Rafale. Mainly she uses it as a base of operations for her repair work, as well as a general utility craft. Space combat has been limited in her journeys, but her ship is heavily armed and armored for a small utility craft. Most notable would be the pair of prototype Solaris Photon Blasters mounted to each side of the main hull. Smaller Junker photon blasters provide supporting firepower. To finish off any remaining threats, a torpedo launcher and ammunition racks have been added to the ship’s dorsal heavy mount. The large cargo bay severely dampens the maneuverability of the Rafale, but it holds the necessary replacement engine parts and hull panels, along with her belongings. The inside of the Rafale is not the cleanest of the ships in service. The cockpit perpetually smells of bad coffee. Several emptied tubes of synthpaste and the odd empty coffee cup lie around the cockpit, either loose on the floor, or stuffed in a compartment. The tattered seat with poor patch jobs is rather old, but provides excellent comfort for those long flights. Some haph-hazardly connected command panels dot the cockpit, fingerprints on the screens. Parts of them open and exposed, while other bits are just taped on. Analog readouts were favored in place of some of the more standard holographic displays. Finally adding to the flare of the Rafale, a pair of fuzzy dice.

Geordi’s second ship is a significantly more advanced O15A, named Archer.

Notable Encounters and Interactions

Geordi has had a rather eventful life for sure. Most of her early work was rather benign, her first real contracts being some repair and escort work for an OSC pilot named Alexander Reed. The two formed a close friendship, but fell out of contact with one another after Alexander was promoted to a higher position in the OSC. More minor, one time jobs followed that. While not working as an escort (a job she did not like mind you) she was often found working repair jobs. In fact, one of her close friends, Zach Maloy offered her an interesting deal… starting their own repair crew. Since then, the two friends have been working closely together, doing all kinds of freelance repair work out of their small shop on Manhattan. Throughout her time as an escort pilot, only one ship she was with ever lost its cargo to pirates, the Whitehat. Her load was stolen by a rogue Junker with a Salvage Frigate, unfortunately for the two, the ship managed to sell it to some Zoners on Freeport 2 before the Salvager was intercepted. On that note, Geordi has been in very few battles. Her first that was worth noting was with a Xenos near Rochester base. The man fought well, but eventually fell to a Sunslayer Torpedo from her ship. Her second battle was against Mon’star the Red in the Leeds system. Standing no chance, she quickly got her butt out of there. Following that, two more battles against the BHG in Liberty… notably the pilot Billy Rosewood. Apparently angered that the Junkers killed his parents, he took the first one he found and tried to kill her. He may have actually done so, if his Nova torpedo had not torn a hole in his own ship. The only time her collector was ever critically damaged enough to disable it, was in a fight with a member of the Xenos Alliance. The Rafale took a Supernova hit and lost power, but Geordi was saved by a nearby Junker and several Liberty Navy pilots who managed to chase the Xenos away before he was able to kill her. Not every encounter ended in violence though. She was once contacted by a commander of a rogue Sarissa class Outcast Battleship in order to work on repairing one of the main coolant systems onboard. For payment she received a ZAaGG (Zero Gravity and Atmosphere Gear) suit, a specialized vacuum capable utility suit. Originally a Maltese design, she has since modified it to her own ends (no images of this exist yet). She was once lured out of Liberty by Agent Harlekin, a Rheinlander working for the MND. The situation escalated from mere strangeness to a full kidnapping shortly after the two entered Texas. Geordi remembers almost nothing of the event. Her last violent encounter was with a Phantom, who, by some miraculous act, was destroyed by Geordi before any permanent damage was inflected.

Twice she has been contacted by the Oracles. One of them even managed to convince her to return to the Shrine. She had found it on her own, but the strange thoughts and ideas emanating from the walls began to worry her. Geordi fled in fear of what could happen if she stayed. Upon leaving the second time she encountered a man by the name of Jeff Markey. It seemed he was being tempted in by the Oracles as well, and she tried to convince him to not go. Jeff, apparently ignoring her warnings left with the Oracle. He would not be seen for nearly three months. Returning, he tempted Geordi back to the Shrine. While initially not trusting him one bit, the strange atmosphere onboard seemed to calm her nerves. The two grew close to each other on the station. Growing rather fond of him, she was able to meet up with him several times after their time on the shrine. Rather small events, like sharing dinner and having a few holotainment band sessions. However, after leaving the Shrine, Geordi’s mind was assaulted twice by Nomads. So far she has been able to keep it a secret from everyone she knows, except for Jeff that is.

She has recently spent the past few months gathering information on the Nomads.
