"Bow low and pay respect to your masters. You are speaking to K'tesh: Bringer of light, executioner of the disbelieving and lord of the enlightened. We allow you now to speak, human."

~ K'tesh speaking through its host

"K'tesh" (Blade/Song of deliverance) is one of many mysterious spirits that exists within the Nomad hivemind, whose primary function is to slip into the infiltrator caste of a wild agent, where it takes over the control of the host in order to enforce the Nomad's will. K'tesh's tasks are mainly the assassination and infestation of human key-individuals with strategic value. If necessary, it can mobilize an entire fleet to accomplish its tasks.

Although K'tesh prefers to stay within its own selected main host, which it learned to control perfectly, but remains inactive most of the time and does not interfere with Keller's daily life, in order to avoid suspicious moves.

K'tesh is a dreaded name amongst Nomad worshipers and servants: Known for its tempting and irresistible illusions, but also for torturing its victims to death, without compassion or remorse. It is therefore often associated with "Sirens" of ancient folklore. It often appears as glowing red creature or presents itself as bloodthirsty beast in visions, but requires a caste in form of a Nomad Incubus as host, in order to be able to manifest itself.

Since K'tesh is part of the hivemind and not bound to a physical form, it can not die after its host body passes away. It will continue its hunt as long as the Nomad hivemind exists and as long as it has host bodies it can possess.

Trivia

  • K'tesh prefers to infest people with authority, but on occasion it also chooses low-ranked soldiers with ties to such people. Individuals posing a threat to the Nomad's long-term goals are being eliminated.
  • K'tesh's methods are similar to the ones of a Siren. It is using human instincts as vulnerable point. By creating tempting and irresistible illusions, it is able to manipulate the minds of those around its host, in order to mislead or control the prey.
  • K'tesh seeks seclusion and tries to avoid public locations whenever possible. It prefers to lure its victims into abandoned places, in order to infest or kill these with utmost efficiency and without disruptions.
  • People who have been exposed to K'tesh's illusions for too long, can fall into a state of trance. Temporary obedience and the loss of memory is the result. During this state, affected individuals can be forced to murder, even without to be aware of their doings afterwards.
  • K'tesh enjoys to torture its victims with sadistic and terrifying illusions.
  • K'tesh is capable of possessing any infiltrator caste, but only once within a certain period of time, since the transition process requires energy - Energy that is being taken from its hosts.
