History
Early Years
Lisa was born on Baltimore Shipyard where both her parents worked. Starting from a very young age she was fascinated by the ships and all of their parts, noticing this interest her father tought her all he knew, everything else she picked up from the other workers. Unfortunatly a place like Baltimore isn't the best place to learn about etiquette and good manners and the moment she burbed out loud during dinner her mother decided to call it a day and finally learn her daughter some manners. Even though she still wasn't the well mannered young lady her mother wanted her to be, her parents allowed her to go and see the universe.
From Bad to Worse
It seems her lack of manners and knowledge about Sirius got her in trouble during the first week, with the little money she had, she bought a used ship. A rusty old buck that barely flew, but with her knowledge she was confident to repair it once she earned some more credits. Eventually she found herself grounded on Barrier Gate Station due of a severe engine failure, without a ship and credits she wouldn't be going anywhere soon, but luck was on her side so she thought, when a stranger approached her with the question if she was in need of a job. She eagerly accepted and got handed the ignition card of a ship somewhere on the base, all she had to do was fly it from Barrier Gates to a place somewhere in the Omicrons.
Out there, in space she hadn't even heard from before, she docked with Freeport 9 this is where she's supposed to deliver the goods. Shortly after she docked a couple of men entered the airlock and took the crate from her ship, one of them opened it and after peeking inside the men started talking in some language she had never heard before. But she could tell that they weren't happy, and right after that she found out, one of them jumped her and knocked her out, by the time she woke up she was in the freeports infirmiry and her ship, the crate and her attackers were long gone.
Present
Desperate she would never get home again she sat in the bar, gazing at the job board just because the glowing letters scrolling by on the board kind of soothed her. Something drew her attention, did she just read "engineer" on that board? Yes there it was again! "Job offering: experienced engineer who is able of managing a small crew for maintainance on modified prison liner". Hell she could do that, she worked on some of those ships when they were in for repair back on Baltimore. So she contacted the captain of the ship and had a short job interview, the captain seemed almost immediatly convinced that Lisa was the right person for the job.
