Studland is a small planet in the Poole system owing its sparse atmosphere to the frequent volcanic activity on its surface. Deemed unsuitable for settlement, Studland was largely ignored until early 816 A.S. when Stokes Mining Station was captured by the Kusari, removing BMM's primary source of Beryllium. Laying claim to barely significant deposits of Beryllium, Studland was targeted by BMM for Beryllium extraction, however, the advent of Kusari's repulsion from Leeds and the formation of the Torfaen Asteroid Field has changed the pace of the Studland operation to a sluggish crawl.
