Galveston Outpost was originally constructed in 826 A.S. as a listening post and supply depot for Separatist forces. Concealed in the West Dallas Debris Field and made largely out of locally salvaged materials, Galveston remains well hidden from any attackers. Raids on LPI operations were frequently conducted from the station, often in support of Xenos operations.
In 827, the Separatists were forced out of the Bering system by the siege of Marshall Station. The Liberty Navy doggedly pursued retreating Separatists, with the intent of permanently crippling the movement. A timely counterattack by joint Separatist and Hellfire Legion forces enabled a successful evacuation, but at a terrible cost to both organisations.
After reorganizing into the Insurgency, Galveston Outpost was repurposed as the Insurgency's operational hub for Texas and the surrounding systems. Strikes against LPI operations have resumed, with the Insurgency desperately seeking to win minor victories in order to rehabilitate their severely tarnished image. It is hoped that this will spur on the enlistments that are sorely needed to replenish their diminished ranks.
