| description = The New London system is the capital system of the [[Bretonia]] space. Due to the extensive mining and industrial operations, this system is heavily polluted. Most asteroid fields, as well as the South Hampton Debris field, are hazardous due to explosive gas pockets and radiation fields. Therefore, caution is usually advised to anyone attempting to travel outside the trade lanes.
+
| description = Omega-15 is a checkpoint system of the [[Border Worlds]]. It is mostly a battleground between the [[Corsairs]] and the [[Red Hessians]], who are seen in large numbers in the system. It is also home to [[Battleship Schwerin]], which orbits planet Rugen, awaiting the mining expeditions that will probably be soon sent there by [[Daumann Heavy Construction]] and [[Kruger Minerals]]. Omega-15 also houses an outpost of the [[Bounty Hunters Guild]], which is mostly used as a refueling station for pilots who want to venture further into the border worlds. [[Junkers]] are also present in this system, although they try to keep to their Depot inside the Gruinder Debris Field.

: Shrouded in an almost perpetual fog, not helped by the constant drizzling rain, the heart of Bretonia is planet New London, with its capital city and seat of government bearing the same name. Colonised in 19 A.S., the vast majority of the Bretonian aristocracy lives here, although even the poorest citizen lives in relative comfort and security. A large majority of New London's population works to support Bretonia's obscenely large bureaucratic system, an almost impenetrable network of obscure titles, government offices and paperwork.
+
: This hot world is the only living witness of nearby mysterious explosion - explosion of an unknown object that most assume to be a Rheinland space station. During the infamous 80 year war with GMG, when Rheinland Military had to withdraw from Omega-15, the system was completely overtaken by pirates. Rheinland government restricted access to all documents about old Omega-15 activities, and even Junkers who investigate the site for many years have no clues about what exactly happened on the orbit of Skagen.

: Most of the New Londoners are a dour and cynical sort, no doubt enhanced by the miserable weather, what with the fog and the acid rain, not to mention the atmospheric pollutants from the unregulated heavy industry used extensively in the formative years of the colony. Nevertheless, New London is a considered to be a desirable place to live, and attracts countless tourists and immigrants, with the planetary population currently estimated at a respectable 1.1 billion.

: Despite this, all of the major Bretonian corporations have offices on New London, including Bowex and Gateway. The Bretonia Police Authority's central headquarters is here, although the military mainly only have recruitment outlets on the planet, since their administrative and operational headquarters lies in the Salisbury system.

: A large gas giant with only trace elements of useful resources. Canterbury Station and the Kensington Shipping Platform both orbit the planet, generating a considerable amount of traffic.
+
: Despite numerous large deposits of cobalt and silver discovered in the planet's crust during initial surveys by the IMG many years ago, due to the anarchic and unstable nature of the Omega 15 system, no attempt has ever yet been made to extract the materials, although with the recent stationing of the Battleship Schwerin in orbit, it may only be a matter of time before Daumann or Kruger make an attempt.

: >>>WARNING: NAVIGATIONAL HAZARD<<<
+
: Cloud of debris remaining after an explosion of a large space station several hudred years ago, most probably a secret Rheinland installation. Junkers built a depot inside the field to study its origin and collect salvage. However, due to ongoing conflict between Corsairs and Red Hessians, Junkers may soon be forced to leave unhospitable Omega-15 system for good.

: The Southampton Debris Field is a monument to government expediency, the product of centuries of ship construction without any form of government environmental oversight in an effort to expand the Bretonian space fleet as quickly as possible. The resulting eyesore, an ocean of scrap, is as emblematic of Bretonia as the Southampton Shipyard itself. No serious attempt to clear the field was ever made, and eventually a large population of Junkers took up residence -- despite the presence of dangerously radioactive areas around leaking engine cores.

: The mining of the Cumbria field released large quantities of explosive gas trapped inside the asteroids, resulting in a number of fatalities over the centuries. The field no longer possesses any resources of note, but the explosive gas has since settled into a large pocket within a gravitational dead zone. Despite this, the proximity of Cumbria to New London has made it a favorite launching point for attacks by the vicious terrorist group known as the Mollys, and the Battleship Suffolk was recently assigned to patrol the perimeter of the field.

: The Southampton Shipyards are a massive assemblage of floating steel where most of the Bretonian naval fleet is constructed. The yard is organized around an enormous structure known by most employees as "The Bridge." The Bridge is a well recognized object of pride for most Bretonians, symbolizing the brilliance and dedication of the Bretonian people. Though Southampton is largely controlled by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) and the Bretonia Armed Forces, it is frequented by almost anybody who has business in New London space.
+
: Despite the disastrous destruction of their research installation in orbit of the planet Skagen many years ago, the Rheinland Military decided to station the Battleship Schwerin in orbit of the planet Rugen in order to guard the known jump hole to the Dresden system.
+

+
: Launched in early 816 A.S., the Battleship Schwerin is one of the newest battleships in the Rheinland Fleet, although its captain, Commodore Jessika Lowe, has seen action in many engagements against the Corsairs during the brief but bloody Corsair invasion of Rheinland.
+

+
: Due to the heavy pirate activity in Omega-15 that not even the recently constructed Bounty Hunter base of Rostock has been able to contain, the Battleship Schwerin is the Rheinland Military's frontline defence against the Red Hessians, Junkers and Corsairs that continually try to enter Dresden.

: Constructed in 672 A.S., Kensington Shipping Platform was the fruit of Gateway's relative success in the past two centuries. Rising from relative obscurity, Gateway Shipping has shown itself to be a strong competitor to Border Worlds Exports.

: Though they may not hold major contracts with Bretonian giants such as BMM and Border Worlds Exports, Gateway Shipping has had great breakthroughs with upstart corporations such as the Independent Mining Guild, Planetform, ALG Waste Disposal, and several other small firms that produce domestic products within Bretonia who were scorned from their respective businesses by BMM and BowEx. By filling niche markets, Gateway has found its place in the Bretonian market, a place large enough to actively compete with BowEx, though the former giant still holds the majority of market share.

: Liberty has two groups: a major population in the New York system, and a smaller enclave in Texas. The Junker base of operations in New London is located near the shipyards within the Southampton Debris Field. In New Berlin they scavenge the remaining pockets of industrial waste and scrap within the asteroid fields. Their latest foray is a departure -- a base in the Border Worlds. Attracted by the ALG operation in Sigma-13, they have set up shop near the facility and do most of the dirty work, picking off the best loot from the old ships for themselves. It also serves as a convenient launching point for Cardamine and Artifact runs into New Berlin. Long-distance smuggling is new for the faction, which is still perfecting this skill.

It also serves as a convenient launching point for Cardamine and Artifact runs into New Berlin. Long-distance smuggling is new for the faction, which is still perfecting this skill.

: In 809 A.S., the Mollys bought three destroyers from the Outcasts to have better chances to oppose Corsair intervention into Dublin. Later they acquired more, and since the plans of Corsair invasion in Dublin were delayed, they used the destroyers to achieve their own goals. Terrorizing Bretonia corporations was always a high priority for the Mollys, and they have stationed one of their destroyers in the Somerset Asteroid Field to provide supplies and repairs for local raiding squads.

: The rapid industrialization that followed the settlement of the Sirius Sector has resulted in large fields of Scrap Metal, the detritus resulting from extensive manufacturing and mining operations. These debris fields present both a navigational hazard and a potential second-stage resource, so a small cottage industry has sprung up among those who collect scrap metal and resell it at smelting plants.

: Moderately damaged hull panels, salvagable engine components and other ship parts that are too valuable to be simply thrown in the smelters. Omega-15 is a checkpoint system of the Border Worlds. It is mostly a battleground between the Corsairs and the Red Hessians, who are seen in large numbers in the system. It is also home to Battleship Schwerin, which orbits planet Rugen, awaiting the mining expeditions that will probably be soon sent there by Daumann Heavy Construction and Kruger Minerals. Omega-15 also houses an outpost of the Bounty Hunters Guild, which is mostly used as a refueling station for pilots who want to venture further into the border worlds. Junkers are also present in this system, although they try to keep to their Depot inside the Gruinder Debris Field.

Planetary Bodies

Planet Skagen

Planet Skagen
This hot world is the only living witness of nearby mysterious explosion - explosion of an unknown object that most assume to be a Rheinland space station.

Planet Rugen

Planet Rugen
Despite numerous large deposits of cobalt and silver discovered in the planet's crust during initial surveys by the IMG many years ago, due to the anarchic and unstable nature of the Omega 15 system, no attempt has ever yet been made to extract the materials, although with the recent stationing of the Battleship Schwerin in orbit, it may only be a matter of time before Daumann or Kruger make an attempt.

Gruinder Debris Feild

Please upload an image of this field.
Cloud of debris remaining after an explosion of a large space station several hudred years ago, most probably a secret Rheinland installation. Junkers built a depot inside the field to study its origin and collect salvage. However, due to ongoing conflict between Corsairs and Red Hessians, Junkers may soon be forced to leave unhospitable Omega-15 system for good.

Space Stations

Battleship Schwerin

Battleship Schwerin
Despite the disastrous destruction of their research installation in orbit of the planet Skagen many years ago, the Rheinland Military decided to station the Battleship Schwerin in orbit of the planet Rugen in order to guard the known jump hole to the Dresden system.
Launched in early 816 A.S., the Battleship Schwerin is one of the newest battleships in the Rheinland Fleet, although its captain, Commodore Jessika Lowe, has seen action in many engagements against the Corsairs during the brief but bloody Corsair invasion of Rheinland.
Due to the heavy pirate activity in Omega-15 that not even the recently constructed Bounty Hunter base of Rostock has been able to contain, the Battleship Schwerin is the Rheinland Military's frontline defence against the Red Hessians, Junkers and Corsairs that continually try to enter Dresden.

Bornholm Depot

Where there's junk, there are the Junkers. They've been around since the earliest days of the Trade Lanes. Descended from the working classes, they developed within the House systems as a sort of necessary evil, handling the dirty work that no one else would. They do well salvaging valuable materials from the ever-increasing debris fields throughout Sirius, with the notable exception of Kusari. To this day they remain held at bay by the Hogosha.
Anyone who deals with Junkers knows they live by a strict code; if you're not a Junker, you're not part of the family. A Junker will double-cross you without a second thought, and they're fiercely protective of each other. Most House corporations consider the Junkers to be simple criminals, but Junkers will occasionally do favors for the police, turning in the odd, mid-level criminal or letting them know about the occasional drug shipment. So despite some harassment, the police stop short of shutting them down. The infrequent police cleanup operations are little more than exercises in public relations, though there's no love lost between the two groups.
The Junkers make their official money from salvaging debris within the fields, but also have a good deal going with various criminals, who like their "no questions asked" policy. Tolerated by the governments, Junkers sometimes deal in contraband, but they are extremely hard to catch red-handed. They are frequently patronized by the criminal element for the refuge they offer within the often hostile territory of House capitol systems.
Liberty has two groups: a major population in the New York system, and a smaller enclave in Texas.
