| description = Coronado is a recently discovered system on the borders of Liberty and Bretonia space. The IMG have been very good at concealing their mining operation there on Planet Pecos for the past few years. But as soon as a Freelance Multi-Millionaire constructed his own private station there word has steadily leaked out of Coronado's potential. Liberty was soon to gamble on the words of rumours and sent probes as well as exploration patrols throughout the system. Finding the potential of Planet Yuma on the far side of the system, Liberty officials decided to send out Survey Vessel Armstrong to watch over Yuma while proceedings that will decide which faction will get to settle on the planet and ultimatley claim it develop.

| description = Omega-3 is a border world system located right next to Cambridge. This system is patrolled by the Bretonian Armed Forces, and occassional patrols from the Red Hessians and Corsairs can be sighted as well. Four bases have been established in this system, with one of them being a Zoner Freeport. The Freeport, Aland Shipyard and the jump gates to Cambridge and Omega-7 are connected by tradelanes.

: A very large comet, possibly a rogue planetoid, caught in the gravitational well of the Omega 3 star. Initial scans have revealed immense quantities of Cobalt locked under it's icy crust. Due to it's proximity to the star, the comet cannot be mined directly, but the star is slowly eroding the comet. The comet's tail contains small quantities, easily retrievable Cobalt.

Meanwhile on Pecos the Independent Miners Guild are ever watchful of the Libertonians moving into Coronado. Seeing as they may pose a threat to their mining operations there and may decide to take over Pecos administration. The Barrier Gate Station established within the barrier rim provides a haven for all the peoples of sirius. Taking on Freeport status, it serves as a hideout for pirates and a weekend getaway for the IMG from their icy home.

Freeport 1
 +
: Freeport 1 was built in 738 A.S., by a group of vagrants, wanderers and social outcasts that had left territories of the Houses in order to live beyond the rules and regulations enforced in the core systems. It was the first ever Freeport to be constructed, as the name clearly states, and it quickly gained popularity with the criminals, outlaws and others of a dubious disposition as a place to easily obtain supplies and repair their ships. Most of the criminals who visit Freeport 1 tend to be members of the Mollys or the Corsairs, although the occasional Red Hessian and Gaian are seen onboard.

However, in 819 A.S., Survey Vessel Armstrong was lost with all hands to unknown causes. Unable to risk another exploratory vessel on such a risky venture, Deep Space Engineering has not yet returned to the Coronado system. At the same time, the Colonial Republic, exiled from the Taus with the Gallic Royal Navy in pursuit, arrived in Coronado and established a new colony on Planet Pecos alongside the IMG, called New Hope. Once their civilian population was secured, the Colonials constructed Sabah Shipyard in orbit of Planet Yuma. This uncanny timing has lead many of Liberty's officials to suspect that the IMG may be in collusion with the Colonials in order to protect their mining and colonisation claims to the system, but there has been no definitive conclusion to the matter.
+
: Over time, however, Freeport 1 has grown, with new cargo modules and habitation decks being constructed until the Freeport was barely recognisable from the small platform it started out as. Small ships are known to be constructed here, sold to both freelancers, criminals and other zoners, and although Bretonia has made irritated noises towards the Freeport, they have as yet left it alone, preferring to put up with the annoyance of criminals docking there to the unknown consequences that might otherwise occur by antagonising the largely peaceful Zoner society.

Aland Shipyard
 +
: A large station within Wilkes Ice Field, Aland was built in 810-817 A.S. by the Independent Miners Guild. Guild used unoccupied space between two trade lanes to construct their first shipyard capable of building and maintaining large vessels. Additionally, the building site attracted a number of refugees from Holman, South Shields and Hood who were seeking for jobs and safer places to stay. Now, Aland Shipyard has become home for over a thousand Independent Miners who came here from Bretonia and Omega Border Worlds.

: Dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) is odorless, tasteless, transparent, and absolutely essential to human life. Roughly 75% of the human body is composed of Water. Deprived of Water, most humans can only live three days. The process of dehydration is a painful one, as tissues shrivel and vessels shrink in a desperate bid by the dying body to preserve its remaining vital functions.

: Hydrocarbons are a class of organic compounds composed only of hydrogen and carbon molecules, resulting in a wide variety of substances that have important industrial applications. While hydrocarbons naturally occur in a gaseous state almost everywhere in the known universe, frozen deposits present the most easily exploited form of the substance. Hydrocarbon mining is key to the industrialization of the Sirius Sector as it provides the raw materials for the creation of the Ship Hull Panels and Optronics, upon which modern society depends.

: However the Armstrong came under increasingly frequent and powerful attacks from pirates in the system. Dozens of survey probes sent throughout the system were destroyed and it soon became clear to the Armstrong's crew that they were not welcome in the system. Pirates, utilising more advanced weaponry than previous raids, managed to destroy the Armstrong in a single concentrated assault, with all DSE crew onboard lost.

: When the Colonial Republic entered the system, the Armstrong had only recently been destroyed. Seeing an opportunity to ensure a strong claim to at least half of Coronado, the Republic constructed Sabah shipyard in orbit of the planet. Colonial survey parties, including some DSE employees who were on the surface during the attack on the Armstrong, frequently visit the planet surface.

: Barrier Gate is one of the few and the largest privately owned space stations in Sirius. Freelancer George Tinsley made a name for himself in underworld circles when he discovered the "Barrier Pass", a shortcut between Tau and Liberty space that completely bypasses Bretonia. Knowing full well that his secret would not remain that way for long Tinsley called in favours and invested his entire fortune into having a rock on the edge of the Barrier Ice Field hollowed out and turned into a base.  When the IMG workers he had hired finished, Tinsley began to tell his peers about the new passage.

: Although retired from freelance piloting, Tinsley has become the administrator of Barrier Gate, which has grown steadily over the last decade. The station is ocupied by people on the run, Bretonian draft dodgers, and Refugees. Most of the revenue on the station is generated by smugglers and pirates, although the IMG use the station as refuge from the cold conditions on Pecos.

: As Tinsley planned, Barrier Gate has become the place where the Outcasts exchange cardamine with the criminals of Liberty, producing astounding profits. Not that his plan hasn't been without its problems. Tinsley is constantly fighting subtle attempts to take over the station from the Rogues, Junkers and the Outcasts themselves. In addition, the publication of the Barrier Pass and the new station earned Tinsley several large bounties from Molly gangs who have lost most of their cardamine smuggling business.

: The arrival of the Colonial Republic in the system has presented the station and it's inhabitants with a quandry of possibilities. The Republic has not stated its intentions in regards to the station and so poses both a potential grave threat but also a potential market for the Gate's many amenities.

: Pecos is a larger moon composed of rock and ice caught in a 37 year cycle of melting and thawing as its orbit around Salina brings it closer and then further away from the sun. The IMG established a small mining colony during 812 A.S. after completing work on Barrier Gate. Pecos possesses a breathable but dangerously thin atmosphere. Elevations over 30 meters above sea level require machine assisted breathing. Deep within the moon crust are frozen deposits of what IMG knows to be natural frozen heavy water and Pecos is on track to become one of the largest sources of deuterium in Sirius once the mining operations reach their maximum efficiency. The arrival of the Republic in Coronado has helped reinforce the Guild's position in the system while also providing a viable market to buy and sell from. Although the Guild and Republic colonies are separate, they enjoy a fair amount of interaction.

Omega-3 is a border world system located right next to Cambridge.

Nebulae & Asteroids

Cross-Vandermeer Comet

Cross-Vandermeer Comet
A very large comet, possibly a rogue planetoid, caught in the gravitational well of the Omega 3 star. Initial scans have revealed immense quantities of Cobalt locked under it's icy crust. Due to it's proximity to the star, the comet cannot be mined directly, but the star is slowly eroding the comet. The comet's tail contains small quantities, easily retrievable Cobalt.
Location: E/5, E/5

Roth Asteroid Field

Roth Asteroid Field
A medium-sized field of mixed carbonaceous and ice asteroids. The Daumann Polymer and Hydrocarbon operation of Ruegen has been plagued by repeated Red Hessian attacks.
Location: F/6

Coombe Asteroid Field

Coombe Asteroid Field
A medium-sized field of mixed carbonaceous and ice asteroids. The second Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) Polymer production facility is located here on Douglas Station, though attacks by Corsairs have required BMM to substantially increase security.
Location: E/7

Burgess Ice Field

Burgess Ice Field
A medium-sized field of ice asteroids. Freeport 1 is located near the inner edge of the field, and will sell its excess supplies to anyone without prejudice -- including Corsairs, who frequent the area.
Location: C/3

Wilkes Ice Field

Wilkes Ice Field
A medium-sized field of ice asteroids. Often used as cover by Red Hessian pirates to attack Trade Lane traffic passing through the area.
Location: F/4

Graham Ice Cloud

Graham Ice Cloud
GRAHAM ICE FIELD
A medium-sized cloud of ice asteroids. Corsairs can sometimes be spotted in the cloud on their way to attack transport ships on the Trade Lanes.
Location: B/5

Space Stations

Freeport 1

Freeport 1 was built in 738 A.S., by a group of vagrants, wanderers and social outcasts that had left territories of the Houses in order to live beyond the rules and regulations enforced in the core systems.
Over time, however, Freeport 1 has grown, with new cargo modules and habitation decks being constructed until the Freeport was barely recognisable from the small platform it started out as.

Rugen Station

Rugen Station was built by Daumann Heavy Construction for the manufacturing of Polymers using the abundant raw materials found in the system. While pirates are always a problem, Daumann's long-running rivalry with the neighboring Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing (BMM) operation on Douglas Station has resulted in more than a few exchanges of weapons fire.

Aland Shipyard

A large station within Wilkes Ice Field, Aland was built in 810-817 A.S. by the Independent Miners Guild.

Water
Dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) is odorless, tasteless, transparent, and absolutely essential to human life. Roughly 75% of the human body is composed of Water. Deprived of Water, most humans can only live three days. The process of dehydration is a painful one, as tissues shrivel and vessels shrink in a desperate bid by the dying body to preserve its remaining vital functions.

Hydrocarbons

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
Hydrocarbons
Hydrocarbons are a class of organic compounds composed only of hydrogen and carbon molecules, resulting in a wide variety of substances that have important industrial applications.

Cobalt Ore

Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination
Cobalt Ore
Ore is a type of rock that contains minerals such as metals which can be extracted through mining and refined for use. The ores must be processed to extract the metals of interest from the waste rock and from the ore minerals. Many organizations prefer to receive unsmelted ores in order to keep the additional cost of their production and finish within the local economy, as opposed to paying markups to foreign laborers to do the work for them.
