In pace with the technological marvels of man are the volatility of the waste he produces. The more opulent the trim, the more overwhelming the engine, the more destructive is the path that led there. Incorporating extensive rad shielding and magnetic storage units not seen outside of heavy capital class engine reactors, these highly specialized vessels are hardened to withstand the toxic nature of the cargo they move.

The technologies employed by the Golem have led to its classification as a restricted vessel. Very few are seen outside of the ranks of ALG and never without permission.

Review FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS OUTDATED: The Golem is the largest mining vessel out there. It can function as both a transport and miner, however as a miner it is limited to ALG itself, so you can only mine scrap metal and toxic waste. When used as a transport its handling is average for a ship of its size. The transport gun hard-points are spread out, with two rear-firing ones on the engine, two on each side, and one on the bridge allowing for forward fire. This gives it 7 guns firing aft, 5 forward and bottom, and 6 to the sides and top. However, this ship is so large that fighting isn't really an option. Unlike most very large ships, this ship doesn't usually have a hard time docking with gates or lanes, or maneuvering through asteroid fields. When it comes to mining the ship is, despite it's poor maneuverability, best handled in cockpit view, with either the bridge turret used as a mining turret, or two of the side turrets.
