One of the new Tirpitz class Capital ships intended to bolster Rheinland’s fleet strength after the Liberty war, Battlecruiser Trier was built with the lessons learned from that bitter conflict in mind. Perhaps it was those advancements that made the vessel a target, experts cannot say for certain. All that is known is the Trier, and its wing of escorts, never returned from its maiden flight.
An extensive search for the missing warship was conducted, yet no trace of the vessel or its crew could be found. In reality, the Trier had been lured into open space by a faux distress call where the accompanying escorts dropped their pretence and revealed themselves as Das Wilde. The isolated battlecruiser was quickly overwhelmed by infested forces and boarded, leaving the more fortunate crew members adrift in the endless void.
The capture of such an advanced ship represents a major victory for Das Wilde who have covertly moved the Trier to the Hamburg system where the battlecruiser has begun to enact its reign of terror against military and civilians targets alike.
