Engineered by Samura Industries for the Naval Forces following the coup of 321 A.S. the vessel was built to serve as a hallmark for the new dynasty. Surpassing contemporary Houses' counterparts in size, it is the highest symbol of Kusari military power and it has, in following Kusari tradition, a very extensive lifetime for a hull of this type. The ever progressing march of these massive war vessels into Bretonian territory despite all efforts at opposition stand as grim tribute to the vessel's original craftsmanship and Kusari's ability to blend the artisan lines of tradition with the deadly efficiency of modern innovation.

Review (4.85) A very beautiful and ornate ship, it seems to ... c-c-c-ombobreak the Kusari Shipline. While both the Gunboat and Destroyer are in the 'light' class, the battleship is not. One of the most deadly 'Heavy' Battleships it can fire 13 of its 18 turrets forward. This makes its energy a must-watch when firing for long durations, but that would hardly be necessary when fighting other large capital ships as your output is nearly sure to match or exceed theirs, as it has the standard 9 million power plant. While not having less armor than the Rheinland Battleship, its more manueverable and I daresay one of the most maneuverable of the Heavy Battleship class. The Kusari Battleship is very tall and not very wide, giving it a very good horizontal strafe ability to avoid long range mortar attacks from cruisers and the like. Outdated Review (4.85)

Review (4.85) A very powerful battleship. Kusari carries more agile missile launchers, and this battleship can definately benefit from a few of them, to deal with cruisers and gunboats effectively. Kusari primary cannons are also very efficient, and you'll have no problems sustaining fire with 11+ of them wailing away at an unlucky target. Some of the turrets are not in very good arcs however - the ones below the docking bay for instance, have very limited firing arcs. The two weapons on the engine can fire forward only if you tilt the ship nose down a slight amount - a good spot to mount twin missile launchers if you use them. The weapon hardpoints differ from the battleship base model. One thing to make a note of: This ship -cannot- fight effectively in asteroid fields. The spikes at the top and bottom will continuously snag on asteroids and get you stuck (as opposed to the NPC patrols who somehow move right through asteroids).
