CONTRABAND

Holo-tainment bands possess elaborate safety and anti-tampering mechanisms, but once these are disabled the devices become even more powerful sensory stimulators. Universally termed hypnotainment bands because users seem to fall into a hypnotic trance during use, these hacked devices are hopelessly addictive for some users, while others manage to use them only recreationally, which many people claim is not unlike the original bands.
