A civilian installation built in 773 A.S., Metz is largely operated by the Royal Police. Since Lorraine system lacks any habitable planets, The station houses food, water and oxygen supplies for nearby installations. The Marne Rebellion, Lorraine had effectively cut Metz off from the rest of Gallia. Metz however was provided with biodomes for just such a contingency, and been supplying both the civilian population aboard, and the Gallic defenders in the system, with food and oxygen. Maquis frequently raid the facility, knowing full well that the destruction of the biodomes would cripple the Gallic efforts in the system, but have thus far been unable to do significant damage.
