Iron ore deposits that were recently discovered on the nearby planet Huron have provided abudant materials to construct Toronto as well as a number of other stations in the Ontario system. The Toronto Station became the primary settlement of Liberty in Ontario, a system that has long been considered unimportant due to lack of planets suitable for terraforming. Now, when extended surveys proved the presence of valuable mineral resources in the system, Toronto was constructed to house corporate workers, miners, police, and civilian authorities.
