Brief History

The Gallic Royal Police is the primary internal law enforcement agency in the Kingdom of Gallia. While the GRP operates throughout Gallic controlled space, they abdicate to the Gallic Royal Navy in some of the more remote and dangerous systems due to their superior firepower and tactical experience. The Police have acquired a reputation for corruption over the centuries, and the conspicuous deaths or disappearances of the numerous journalists who were widely known to be attempting to uncover their shadowy dealings have only fueled the suspicion. While the Crown has made attempts to address the apparent systemic issue of corruption at the institutional level, there is still little that can be done out in open space where journalists have limited access and some police pilots are rumored to freely consort with criminals involved in a large array of illegal activities.
