Biography

Early Life

Born in a medium sized city from the Planet New London, Sophius had the usual childhood of any Bretonian. His parents were both part of the Bretonia Police Authority, yet only as communication operators, not actual pilots, so Sophius didn't gain any interest in flight.

He passed trough his general studies between the top of his classes, after which he became his mother's unofficial assistant.

Years in Bretonia

After turning 19, Sophius came to admire the cosmos, thus he decided he should look for some way to explore it. As he was given some starting money from his parents which were proud of his aspirations, he soon bought a ship, a standard Cavalier without weapons. With no actual plan, he decided to imput his application to the Academy of Science on Planet Cambridge, as well as participated to some free-participation BPA trainings organised in those years.

After finishing his studies he took a job as a diplomatic consultant for the BPA, but he was instructed to keep in guard, thus he equipped his ship with standard weaponry.

After Bretonia

In 818 A.S., Sophius decided he had both enough money and enough courage to start exploring and putting all his experience to a better use than just aiding in the pursuit of common criminals.

Given he had no interest in just going to another House, he thought of flying either in the Omegas or the Taus. Finally, uncertain that he would resist in the Omegas, as they were quite full with Corsair activity, he decided to fly towards the Taus. Yet since Gallia began it's invasion, the question was "How to do it?".

With some luck and a few connections, he was led by some Zoners towards the Baffin system, from which he could easily pass into Tau 29 without meeting and Gallic Navy. He remained at Freeport 6 for a few months, gathering information about everything he could. Later on, he left towards Tau 23, decided to join the IMG. He was assaulted on his way by a patrol of Outcasts. Luckily he was saved by the Guild and taken to Java for recovery. One week later, he accepted to become an independent pilot for them, using his skills to keep the miners safe.

One year after, he became acquianted with some Colonial pilots and grew fond of their cause. Gaining more information about the small nation, he felt he could be of help to them, so he soon applied to become a Colonial citizen, as well as a member within their Military.

As a Colonial

Considering he is quite new within the ranks of the military, he is still a Warrant Officer, but he works hard to prove himself and has already stopped a few pirates passing trough Coronado, as well as participated in the fights against Outcast patrols and raids, which he mostly refers to as "cardamine users".

Relations to Nomads Since the first Nomad War, of which Sophius did have the chance of hearing, as he had some acquiantaces with Richard Winston Tobias, he considers the Nomads to be mainly enemies of humanity. But, due to his nature, Sophius believes that anything can happen, thus he hopes someday, Nomads may become allies of Sirius. So far, he hasn't found any of such sort, but he doesn't change his opinion because he hasn't met too many nomad individuals. Relations to Gallia Sophius has seen what Gallia has done to Bretonia, Kusari and the Colonials. He isn't hateful, so he keeps a rather indiferent stance towards the Gauls, but he realises their Monarchic leadership needs to be stopped and thinks something should be done, with or without force.

Current Status

Since he joined the Colonials, Sophius is mostly patrolling on his ships and tries to keep the Tau systems clear of pirates, flying side by side with his Colonial friends and the IMG. Yet just now he rebegan his studies on his own, looking forward to starting doing some side-research for the Colonials.
