The Alabama Shipyard was built at great expense by The Core. Its primary function was the construction and maintenance of Core Capital Ships operating in the Omicron sector.
As Interspace Commerce finalizes its acquisition of AP Manufacturing, administration of Alabama Shipyard has been transfered into their hands. With the hope of a smooth transition of control in mind, IC has kept standing arrangements in place, and continues to allow the Core to use the shipyard for maintenance of their capital ships. Largely allowing daily operations to continue unhindered.
