Built by the Liberty Navy, the Dreadnought class is the most sophisticated and devastating ship of its type. While the exterior hull has seen little change over several decades, the internal systems feature some of Libertys most sophisticated technology. The familiar silhouette has become an icon of the Liberty Navy.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

This is really quick battleship. It has 3 heavy turrets, all fire forward, 2 fire back. I suggest to mount 2 cerberus at right and left hardpoints and mortar in middle. You need to don't show your left amd right sides to enemy. But, you need to fly slighty right or left to fire mortar. A maneuverable, quick battleship comparable to the Osiris but with more armor. It fits into the 'Light' Battleship category due to its meager turret number (12) and its smaller powercore. Do not underestimate this ship, as majority or full Solaris Turret loadouts has popped many a ego bubble of Barghest pilots that got too close or too cocky. Its maneuverability in skilled hands can be its greatest asset. Its able to defeat battleships of the medium/heavy class while backing up and strafing in many directions at the same time, avoiding the heavier battleships superior output, but taking occasional hits. Do not charge in this ship toward heaver capital ships as you are bound to lose due to lower input/output of damage. The Liberty Dreadnaught is able to withstand large group battles with large bomber deployments due to its ability to with a bit of skill evade SNACK cannon shots and force the bomber pilots to get closer to land hits. The Liberty Dreadnought is one of the best battleships around in terms of balance. It has sturdy armour, a reasonable core and great mobility. Flown well, it is capable of doing some -serious- damage to any ship types.
If you intend to use the Liberty Dreadnought with little experience, I recommend consulting someone who is well versed in how the ship handles.
As Cam has stated: DO NOT CHARGE LARGER BATTLESHIPS. You will come off second best.
It is a very versatile ship, capable of filling various roles. With exceptional turret placement, great strafe and sleek design, bombers have to get in close to hit you, presenting relatively easy targets.
I recommend using Standard mortars over the heavy, as you will be able to fire more shots and not drain the core. Mounting two Battleship Battle Razors, 1 or 2 mortars, with as many primary turrets as possible will turn this ship into a killing machine. However, Razors can be tricky to use.
With regards to capital ship battles, timing is cruicial. Practice strafing to avoid enemy shots. A range of 2,5K will allow you to dodge just about anything, provided you have the correct technique. Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Matthew Keil
