The newest Red Hessian cruiser available to date is a product of many generations of improvement upon the original blueprint. Despite the remaining semblance to the first design, this ship is heavily armoured and armed, and easily able to overpower most opponents. Its industrial grade power array provides an abundance of energy for its weapon hardpoints, and gives meaning to the project's codename: Vidar, the god of vengeance.

This ship class has been committed into service only recently, and is still considered fairly unique. To see one outside the ranks of the Hessians would be unthinkable.
