This light auxillary vessel was built by Samura to try and regain some of the Kusari civilian ship market that had been taken by Kishiro and Renzu during previous years. Designed as a high end personal craft, it was meant to ferry couriers in between planets and bases quickly and in safety. While it is used for this purpose often, once the ship made it onto the open market it became a popular choice for many Kusari civilians. Though it seems that few official producers seem to have records of many ships being purchased by the Hogosha and Farmer's Alliance, it seems to be their favorite choice as scout and surveillance ships, and is a very common sight in Hogosha and Farmer's Alliance hands.

Now this, is a light fighter. The people at the Discovery dev team have remembered what Light Fighters are about. Maneuverability. If you even vaguely turn in this ship you will be hard to hit. Counter measures are pretty much invalid since you can dodge a missile anyway, maybe making way for a cloaking device? This ship has a tiny profile at the front, but just remember this ship does not have as much armor as some other light fighters. If you get shot for a worryingly short amount of time, destruction will ensue. But what I think works well is two Neutralizer Missiles and a Cannonball missile using a hit and run tactic. Or 2 Heavy Flashpoints and an Adv.Debilitator? Anyway if you're looking for a civilian ship to keep you out of danger or even one of the Naval Forces role playing as a scout. This is the ship for you.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by TekFish |

This is one gem of a ship. Not only does it look like a cute scaled downed version of the Kusari gunboat, it also has enough bite to be a match for heavier ships. First the good: This ship's profile is as small, if not smaller, than that of a Liberator, with agility to match. It is almost impossible to hit unless your opponent is a crack shot. The powercore on this thing is big. It can hold sustained fire of a class 8 debilitator and two heavy flashpoints. With a powercore of 8500 u.s, chances are you wouldn't run out of energy very quickly. And then the bad: Do note however, this ship has a weak hull. Taking damage is not an option, jousting is suicide. It will die to a single nuke, so you better be good at dodging. Also, the ship has horrible cargo capacity. Equipping an AU8 will result in ZERO cargo space left for any cargo whatsoever. Overall this ship is an awesome Light Fighter and has taken over the Liberator as my all time favourite Light Fighter. Seriously, just buy one. As a last remark, it is a must for lulzing around. Pimp it with strobe lights and annoy the heck out of anybody. I personally place two strobe lights on the dock lights, which can be turned on and off at will now thanks to the devs. This enables me to activate my (inRP) "Anti-targeting flares" where flashing lights will reduce anybody's capacity to aim. With strobe lights on, it is nigh-impossible to hit.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Zynth |

The Hayabusa looks like a canoe with ears, and it is about the same size. You wonder how this thing could possibly be spaceworthy, and how the pilot can see past the CD launcher mounted right in front of his nose. Make no mistake though: this ship is fun to fly. You'll be virtually unhittable. But with only 3 guns it is just too underpowered for its own good. The power capacity is generous so with 3 guns you can keep shooting all day, but one-on-one fights will end in stalemate as you can't take your opponent down and he can't hit you. Even shooting high-level NPCs becomes a chore. That said, Hayabusa is a dream ship for vanguard faction members or the odd Freelancer who likes to scout around in hostile territory. In combat, the best use of this gnat-sized thing is a support craft: Loaded with shield-busters, or a highly mobile missile platform. Either way you'll buzz around your opponent, and your comrades will laugh as they watch him try to shoot you in vain. Just mind he doesn't hit you; the hull is made of rice paper and the puny cargo space precludes using the largest armor upgrades.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Onca |
