Thermal management on board space stations involves both insulating the station against the cold of outer space, and transferring the heat generated by the station's power core and other operations to heat the station and disperse excess heat to the outer hull segments where it can dissipate into space. Heat Sinks temporarily absorb and store heat in high temperature areas.
