Singapore is currently the largest shipyard in the Tau region. A joint project between the Crayter Republic and the Independent Miners Guild, it has built a significant number of ships for both groups. Wary of the advancing Gallic Royal Navy, the Crayter Republic drafted a series of plans that would come into effect if Tau-44 were to be invaded. Along with a mass evacuation of both people and materials, the IMG was given control of Singapore shipyard. It was expected that this, in combination with the remote location of Singapore, would dissuade the Gallic Navy from seizing it.
