"The best of the best," this heavily outfitted rig represents the pinnacle of Liberty's technological advances and design savoir faire. With its elevated armor and power rating as standard and the additional mount for firepower, it's no wonder that this ship is the number one choice of the Liberty Armed Forces.

This is certainly one of the cheaper HFs around, but almost useless from a practical perspective in modern dogfights. The Defender is fast, handles low level weaponry pretty well, but is otherwise outclassed by just about everything as she is only able to mount a class 4 shield and has a mere 1600 hull points... a single volley could easily destroy the ship. But the Defender is not without her hilarity values! Load up the guns with the best pulses you can cram on, put in a mine your powerplant can handle and slap on a torpedo, the Starkiller should do nicely and watch the fun. With a full pulses on your main guns you can take a shield down in a couple passes and a torpedo should kill a VHF in 3 or 4 solid hits. While impractical, it is funny. I must disagree with the review above. This ship costs 28,000 credits, and the person above is comparing it to the strongest, most expensive fighters. This ship is one of the best values for its price; for only 28,000 credits, a player can obtain this ship which has far more firepower than other ships around its price, and still has good hull, and handling. I recommend this as a starting ship to any player who prefers to gradually progress, rather than simply transferring credits to purchase more expensive ships.
