Casablanca is a base orbiting the gas giant Rabat in the Omega-47 system. Formerly inhabited by Corsairs attempting to mine the large quantities of Neon present in the atmosphere of the bases' primary, it was captured by the Red Hessians as a strategic objective on their offensive of 811 A.S. The assault fleet holding the area was later engaged by a Corsair counter attack, but was able to successfully defend itself. Although the base was planned to become a major checkpoint on the road to Omega-41, the Corsair battleship Fes that has been stationed in the system to guard the jump hole since, as well as the stream of pirates constantly heading towards Omega-49 has turned Casablanca into a mere monitoring outpost and refueling base, focusing on local defense rather than war preparations.
