Nestled between [[Omicron Alpha]] and [[Sigma-19]], Omicron Beta is the primary channel through which [[Cardamine]] flows from [[Planet Malta|Malta]] to the eastern half of Sirius. [[Outcasts]] mine the system for [[Alien Organisms]], which they use for their Cardamine cultivation on the plantations. Outcast residents of this system worry about the presence of Hawaii liner in Sigma-19, which draws a lot of unwanted visitors to this system. Omicron Beta is witness to frequent small-scale battles between Outcasts and [[GMG]]. The entire system is inside a radioactive nebula/asteroid field.
