| description = Coronado is a recently discovered system on the borders of Liberty and Bretonia space. The IMG have been very good at concealing their mining operation there on Planet Pecos for the past few years. But as soon as a Freelance Multi-Millionaire constructed his own private station there word has steadily leaked out of Coronado's potential. Liberty was soon to gamble on the words of rumours and sent probes as well as exploration patrols throughout the system. Finding the potential of Planet Yuma on the far side of the system, Liberty officials decided to send out Survey Vessel Armstrong to watch over Yuma while proceedings that will decide which faction will get to settle on the planet and ultimatley claim it develop.
+
| description = Champagne is the birthplace of The Council, and with it the Second Gallic War. The events in the Champagne system have sculpted what Gallia is today, and may yet change all of Sirius. It remains the Council's fortress, and even the Gallic Royal Navy does not often launch attacks into the system.

+
| image = Champagne.jpg
Meanwhile on Pecos the Independent Miners Guild are ever watchful of the Libertonians moving into Coronado. Seeing as they may pose a threat to their mining operations there and may decide to take over Pecos administration. The Barrier Gate Station established within the barrier rim provides a haven for all the peoples of sirius. Taking on Freeport status, it serves as a hideout for pirates and a weekend getaway for the IMG from their icy home.

However, in 819 A.S., Survey Vessel Armstrong was lost with all hands to unknown causes. Unable to risk another exploratory vessel on such a risky venture, Deep Space Engineering has not yet returned to the Coronado system. At the same time, the Colonial Republic, exiled from the Taus with the Gallic Royal Navy in pursuit, arrived in Coronado and established a new colony on Planet Pecos alongside the IMG, called New Hope. Once their civilian population was secured, the Colonials constructed Sabah Shipyard in orbit of Planet Yuma. This uncanny timing has lead many of Liberty's officials to suspect that the IMG may be in collusion with the Colonials in order to protect their mining and colonisation claims to the system, but there has been no definitive conclusion to the matter.

: Salina is a large hydrogen-helium gas giant. It has unusually large amounts of Nitrogen in the upper atmosphere, which glow purple when ionized by the solar wind. Salina is currently orbited by 5 large moons which are suspected to have once been independent planets which have been pulled into the gas giant's massive gravity well.

: A cold icy world with rock outcrops on its surface. Despite very low temperatures, the planet contains valuable mineral deposits, and Gallic Mining Service have planned to establish mining colonies planetside. However, the Second Gallic War that burst out in 794 A.S. has put an end to those plans, since Champagne has been completely taken under Council control by 803 A.S., and the Gallic Navy has failed to retake the system ever since.

: Jericho is a seemingly ordinary, barren rock moon composed of Silicates with deposits of various light metals with no atmosphere. Jericho stands out on the star charts because of the significant threat it poses to unwary ships entering orbit around the Planet Salina. Visual scans indicate that there is ancient wreckage located near one of the planetary poles. However the space surrounding Jericho is heavily radiated and produces strong electromagnetic interference preventing detailed analysis and exploration of the surface.

Planet Marne
<div align="right"></div>
 +
: Marne is a densely populated industrial world that holds more than three quarters of all Gallic Border Worlds population. Discovered in 506 A.S. by a Gallic expedition sent from Burgundy, this planet has immediately attracted attention of authorities and corporations. Atmosphere was suitable for colonization, and planet's crust appeared to be rich in oil and metal ores. ELF Oil &amp;amp; Machinery, Gallic Metal Service, and a number of other companies from the Core Systems have all participated in building up the industrial infrastructure. But when millions of workers were transported to Marne in 615-650 A.S., they didn't find the perfect living conditions and beautiful cities that they were promised. Instead, vast cities consisted of similar blocks of flats and were located right next to plants and factories: there were few policemen to stop the crime, almost no social services, and even no fresh air because of massive and uncontrolled pollution. On some distance from the cities, small towns were built to house higher-class settlers. Those towns were heavily guarded by Police and private security guard against the crime that was increasing steadily since the colonization had started.
 +

 +
: Throughout the last two hundred years, the workers of Marne had to repeat the history of struggle for their rights that took place on Earth in the XIX century. Most of them supported the Gallic Liberation Movement, while some followed more radical path and to become revolutionary socialists. Only a few of the planet's populace supported the royalist Conservative Party and various nationalistic movements. After the Liberation Movement was disbanded and banned in 720 A.S., the officials on Marne became more and more reluctant to uphold the previosly secured workers' rights. Lacking peaceful ways to express their protests, the workers started to realize that period of bloodless struggle has come to an end. Many joined a group named the Council that followed Liberalist political ideas. Many even joined the Maquis, a terrorist organization formed within the Council structure. Over the years, Marne has become an ill-famed place for corporate officials. Streakbreakers, corrupt policemen, and even random rich sitizens were regularly found dead, gunned down by long-range sniper rifles or simply stabbed to death in the streets. Security was tightened, but it was too late. When the government has initiated a tactic of revenge, arresting random Council activists not in any way privy to the cause in response to each crime committed against higher-class Marne colonists, a massive rebellion had become inevitable.
 +

 +
: The rebellion that started in 794 A.S. is universally considered the beginning of the Second Gallic War. After two years of fighting, the Gallic Army has gained the upper hand due to advanced warfare technologies and tight control of the space around the planet. However, the government was unaware that Council was going to interfere and use its newly gained military might to turn the tides of war. In 798 A.S., when the Gallic Army has initiated an overall offensive, the Council breached the planetary defenses, and Council corps landed on the planet. Gradually, the situation on Marne has changed: in 801 A.S., after years of bloody fighting, the whole planet was under control of the Council. Marne soon became the center of Council government and seat of the High Command. Cities were rebuilt, but millions of former workers have lost their job because the factories where they worked were destroyed or plundered; those workers formed an endless supply of dedicated recruits who joined the Council fleets in order to fight their former opressors from the Core Systems.

: Yuma is a lush world that is seemingly ideal for human population, with vast seas and a wide equatorial band of humid tropical terrain. Since the planet's discovery in 640 A.S. by Zoner explorers, there have been multiple colonization attempts, all of which failed. The overly aggressive native flora is capable of re-growing in cleared land at astonishing speeds and is capable of choking out synth crops, requiring any colonization attempt to be well supplied from outside sources.

: DSE surveyors based their ship, the Armstrong, in orbit of the planet. Intense bidding ensued between interested parties in Liberty once the planet was revealed. DSE also commenced construction of a docking ring for the planet, eyeing the potentially endless profit from such a lush planet.

: However the Armstrong came under increasingly frequent and powerful attacks from pirates in the system. Dozens of survey probes sent throughout the system were destroyed and it soon became clear to the Armstrong's crew that they were not welcome in the system. Pirates, utilising more advanced weaponry than previous raids, managed to destroy the Armstrong in a single concentrated assault, with all DSE crew onboard lost.

: Barrier Gate is one of the few and the largest privately owned space stations in Sirius. Freelancer George Tinsley made a name for himself in underworld circles when he discovered the "Barrier Pass", a shortcut between Tau and Liberty space that completely bypasses Bretonia. Knowing full well that his secret would not remain that way for long Tinsley called in favours and invested his entire fortune into having a rock on the edge of the Barrier Ice Field hollowed out and turned into a base.  When the IMG workers he had hired finished, Tinsley began to tell his peers about the new passage.

Not that his plan hasn't been without its problems. Tinsley is constantly fighting subtle attempts to take over the station from the Rogues, Junkers and the Outcasts themselves. In addition, the publication of the Barrier Pass and the new station earned Tinsley several large bounties from Molly gangs who have lost most of their cardamine smuggling business.

Later, in 812 A.S., it was partially repaired by the Council and re-pressured to guard entrance to Champagne system from Burgundy. Several weapon platforms with long-range weaponry were constructed around the station to provide additional protection. Most of the station, however, remains devoid of atmosphere and gravitation; Council says that it has no resources to complete repairs. After the fighting on Marne was over, many Council members who previously lived on Macon and Montmirail have settled planetside. Champagne is the birthplace of The Council, and with it the Second Gallic War. The events in the Champagne system have sculpted what Gallia is today, and may yet change all of Sirius. It remains the Council's fortress, and even the Gallic Royal Navy does not often launch attacks into the system.

Planetary Bodies

Planet Sedan

Planet Sedan
A cold icy world with rock outcrops on its surface.
Location: E/1

Mass: 6.54 x 1024 kg
Terrain: Ice
Temperature: -147°C to -59°C
Escape Velocity: 10.16 km/sec

Rethel

Rethel
A rocky moon with low gravity and thin rarefied atmosphere. Orbits Planet Sedan.
Location: F/2
Diameter: 4,010 km
Mass: 3.56 x 10e24 kg
Terrain: Barren
Temperature: -56°C to 22°C
Escape Velocity: 7.12 km/sec

Vouziers

Vouziers
A small moon with surface consistent mainly of pure water ice. The Council uses special ships to mine the water and transfer it to Planet Marne that is experiencing shortages in local fresh water supplies.
Location: B/5
Diameter: 5,228 km
Mass: 2.77 x 10e24 kg
Terrain: Ice
Temperature: -88°C to -46°C
Escape Velocity: 4.11 km/sec

Planet Marne

Planet Marne
Marne is a densely populated industrial world that holds more than three quarters of all Gallic Border Worlds population. Discovered in 506 A.S. by a Gallic expedition sent from Burgundy, this planet has immediately attracted attention of authorities and corporations. Atmosphere was suitable for colonization, and planet's crust appeared to be rich in oil and metal ores. ELF Oil &amp; Machinery, Gallic Metal Service, and a number of other companies from the Core Systems have all participated in building up the industrial infrastructure.
Throughout the last two hundred years, the workers of Marne had to repeat the history of struggle for their rights that took place on Earth in the XIX century.
The rebellion that started in 794 A.S. is universally considered the beginning of the Second Gallic War.

Planet Sezanne

Planet Sezanne
A large deserted world of a size unsurpassed by many gas giants, probably the largest planet with solid crust in all Sirius Sector. A notable object for astronomers' research, this planet remains largely unexplored due to lack of approachable mineral resources and high temperatures.

Courville Wreck

Courville Wreck
Courville was a Gallic Royal Police installation that was destroyed by offensive Council forces in 802 A.S. Some say that the station will not be able to hold for long against a full-scale offensive of Gallic Navy fleets, and in this case Council is planning to sacrifice Courville to buy some time for regrouping its forces near Marne and Reims.

Montmirail Base
Montmirail Base was built by the Council in 742 A.S., shortly after Macon. It was actively used for building up Council forces prior to the Second Gallic War; from here, Council staged its first attacks against the Gallic Navy in 798 A.S. After the fighting on Marne was over, many Council members who previously lived on Macon and Montmirail have settled planetside. Of Montmirail's 1800 population recorded before the war, only about two hundred remain there nowadays, mostly patrol fighter pilots, marines and maintenance engineers.

Water
Dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) is odorless, tasteless, transparent, and absolutely essential to human life. Roughly 75% of the human body is composed of Water. Deprived of Water, most humans can only live three days. The process of dehydration is a painful one, as tissues shrivel and vessels shrink in a desperate bid by the dying body to preserve its remaining vital functions.

Scrap Metal
The rapid industrialization that followed the settlement of the Sirius Sector has resulted in large fields of Scrap Metal, the detritus resulting from extensive manufacturing and mining operations. These debris fields present both a navigational hazard and a potential second-stage resource, so a small cottage industry has sprung up among those who collect scrap metal and resell it at smelting plants.
