Virginia System

Little is known about this system. Its code named "Zone 42". The Liberty Navy Guard protects this system from enemy incursions and where necessary with strong force. The entry points into this system are not known on any unlawful database, and only the top ranking Navy people know actually where this system is, and indeed if it even exists. Until other personal are informed on a need to know basis, it is usually considered Class B Top Secret information.

Newport Anomaly

Newport Anomaly

The Newport Anomaly is a dark matter cloud in the Virginia system. Newport's exact origin and composition are unknown, the cloud itself rendering any attempts at gathering scan data close to impossible. Initial theories suggested that it was an outcropping of the Grande Negra in the Texas system, although the limited analysis conducted about the cloud's composition in recent years has proven that theory false. Its origin remains a mystery, however, that did not stop the Liberty Navy from constructing Radford Research Station inside Newport, its scanner-suppressing nature along with the scattered pockets of radiation making for the ideal environment to hide a secret installation within.

Concord Particle Cloud

Concord Particle Field

The Concord Particle Cloud is a large outcropping of the Walker Nebula itself. Faint traces of noble gasses, along with minor asteroid formations are present, but no resources worth extraction can be found in the cloud.

The only notable feature of the cloud itself is its sensor-inhibiting nature, even though it doesn't pose a sever navigational hazard.

Asteroid Fields

Charleston Ice Field

File:CharlestonIF.jpg
Charleston Ice Field

A large and dense field of ice asteroids in the Virginia system that suggests that it used to be a part of the Barrier that must have drifted into Virginia centuries ago.

Once a year, some parts of the asteroid field tend to be sucked in by Planet Hampton's gravity well to descend into the planet's gravity atmosphere where they ultimately melt, creating rainstorms all over the planet's surface which awaken the local flora and fauna.

Minefields

Arlington Minefield

Arlington Minefield

A colossal and absolutely deadly Antimatter minefield constructed by the Liberty Navy which serves as the first layer of Planet Columbia's defenses. Attempts to penetrate the field are not advised due to its density, lethality, and size.

Approach with caution.
