The new Toitsu-class battleship Hyono has only just been deployed after her maiden voyage to Sigma-21, following the outcry of the destruction of Ibusuki Construction Site and the Survey Vessel Unzen by Rheinland, that lead to the deaths of Kusari citizens and workers. Staking out from Hai Phong, Hyono and her new battlegroup spearheaded a counter attack against Bayern and her escorts.
With the initial strikes successful, Hyono, command ship of the Sigma front and her battlegroup fortify near Hai Phong, and made use of her expanded hangar bays to deploy generous strike wings to deploy near Saigon and other key areas such as Honshu's jump anomaly. Fortified and routinely deploying raiding parties, the battlegroup held its position and steadily pushed the Rheinland Military back through 825 A.S.
The Hyono continued to hold the Bayern fleet until the Westfalen emerged from the Mekong cloud in a surprise attack. Outclassed, outnumbered and outplayed, the Hyono retreated, suffering the losses of several of her strike wings, falling back into Honshu, where her and her battlegroup now form the first line of defense for the Honshu system at the Akita Border Station.
