When infamous Zoner shipwright and philosophical leader Jinkusu was asked how a group of peoples could possibly hope to balance abundant resources in the desolate wastes of the borderworlds when diplomatic niceties balanced upon a knife's edge; his reply was as simply as it was immediate: You get a second knife.

A rare vessel of myth and legend, Freeport 13 was forged as a mobile Freeport, a civilization in itself exploring the vast tracks of space in order to secure the resources and territories that allow the continuation of the Zoner movement... as well as the firepower to ensure that any trespassers against Zoner interests and neutrality will be revisited upon the people's of the aggressor a thousand fold.

The mobile Freeport Thirteen is operated by Kashiwaba Tomoe. It's construction was financed by the crew of the Hinaichigo which had set out from Freeport Seven on an extended duration exploration cruise shortly before its destruction. A number of the crew had relatives and insured assets on the station, as well as a stake in the station itself, and a mixture of inheritances and insurance payments from Interspace Commerce, which were larger than normal as almost all stakeholders in Freeport Seven were kiled, allowed the vessels small community to pool the funds to purchase its own mobile Freeport.

Freeport Thirteen is known for having extensive science labs, as well as fighter craft repair facilties. The Zoner Defence Force's Exploration Command is currently headquartered on Freeport Thirteen as well.

Pilots stopping over at the Freeport have passed on rumors indicating that it has supplies of various alcoholic beverages, tobbaco, and foods for sale, at one hundred thousand credits for an average sized pallet loaded onto the buyers vessel. They have also been overheard as saying that it is quite realxing to walk down a path in the ships gardens after an extended period in space.

A few visitors have reported that a large pool of water in one of the Bio-Domes is home to an alien life form similar to crabs from old Earth, execpt with sucker tipped claws. The life forms have not been reported as dangerous.
