These ships are seen all around Sirius, being used by many individuals and factions, as they are known for their ruggedness and flexibility. Usage of the Falchion and Bayonet are both restricted by the Lane Hackers - see the [[Tech Chart]] for more information.

These are deployed when law enforcement start to bring gunboats or bigger to a fight, or when extra firepower is needed to take down some troublesome transports. In the case of the Outcasts, it is to pulverise the capital ships of the [[Corsairs]] in fearsome battle. In general, these ships are used to destroy bigger threats that fighters cannot handle. While the [[Falcata]] is also available to freelancers and mercenaries with good ties with the Outcasts, the [[Broadsword]] is restricted by the Lane Hackers.

When there is a need to gain the upper hand against large numbers of fighters, Gunships and Gunboats are called in to deliver devastating amount of damage to enemy fighters and absorb or avoid the return fire. Used wisely, Gunships are an invaluable asset to any fleet. The Tridente is often the largest Outcast ship seen away from their home systems, utilized by Outcast raiders and their closest allies.

Note: While the [[Tridente]] is an Outcast vessel, it was based upon the Border Worlds shipline, and therefore deserves a mention in this article. Refer to the Tech Chart for further information about how Freelancers and Mercenaries can acquire one of these ships.

Latest revision as of 18:21, 18 June 2020

Built to survive in the harsh conditions of remote space, Border Worlds ships are some of the most widely used in Sirius, only being outnumbered by the line of civilian ships, which are available throughout House space. Used by Unlawfuls, mercenaries, and freelancers alike, they have become symbols for trouble, as most people flying them will stop you for something more than just a chat. They are manufactured in a number of Shipyards around Sirius, and some factions have even developed their own derivative ships from the generic models, most notably the Lane Hackers.
