Description

New York is the main hub of Liberty. It is also the most central system of the four houses and as such acts as a "crossroads" to Sirius. The Sleeper ship "Liberty" landed on Manhattan, New York system, in 1 A.S. and the colonists on board immediately began settling the planet. It was much like Earth in the Sol system; lush green fields, wind swept meadows and did not need terraforming. As Manhattan's wealth grew, so did the Libertonians desire to expand. Research and exploration was on the top of the Liberty list, and by 60 A.S. the people of Liberty had begun to chart and develop footholds in the surrounding systems of Texas and California. Colorado was discovered next and soon colonized. Travel and communication at this time was slow between systems and even slower between the now established houses of Rheinland, Kusari, and Bretonia. Over the span 100 A.S to 500 A.S Technologies increase in New York and enable construction of Tradelanes, Jumpgates and Planetary Elevators. Through trade agreements and such this technology is also shared with the other houses. In time, the houses meet an equilibrium of territory. Many corporations rise and fall during these times and to this day three major ones remain: Ageira Technologies, Deep Space Engineering and Interspace Commerce.

Comment: New York is also the current place where new pilots of Discovery Mod are created.
