Heaven's Gate, also known as "Tekagi's Base" or the "Tohoku Planetary Arch", was constructed as a private retreat and stronghold for Kusari nobility. It was once considered the pride of Kusari engineering, but at some point it was practically removed from public knowledge for unknown reasons. At the request of Governor Tekagi, it was militarized, covered in defensive turrets, and the docking port was surrounded with an energy shield provided by recent acquaintances of Tekagi. A substantial garrison was also established at the base, along with a heavy guard of fighter wings and capital ships. These defenses, however formidable, were surpassed by a large strike force of Blood Dragons led by Ozu and the freelancer Edison Trent in the Battle of Heaven's Gate. Tekagi was revealed to be under the control of the Nomads and killed after himself slaying Ozu. The garrison had been defeated and its guardians scattered, but not all of them had perished in the fighting. Over the years following the Nomad War, remnants of Tekagi's personal guard collected themselves and reached out to other agents of the Nomads. They eventually grew in the modern Aoi Iseijin, using Heaven's Gate as their stronghold once again.
