Independent Systems are roughly buffer systems between Liberty and other houses. These systems are basically no-man's land. While being relatively safe to travel they still provide a safe haven for various political and criminal elements in the houses, like Xenos, Liberty Rogues and Lane Hackers. These systems also house some notable Freeports.
- Systems: Baffin, Bering, Cassini, Coronado, Cortez, Galileo, Hudson, Kepler, Mackenzie, Magellan and Vespucci
