Ever since declaring their independence from Bretonia, the Molly's no longer had access to the smelters and refineries on Graves or Planet Leeds. Although their efforts to smelt the ore directly in Dublin's Arranmore asteroid base were paying off handsomely, the amount of gold that could be processed there was limited.
The Molly solution to this problem was Garvagh, a large space-based refinery with more then enough capacity to purify all the ore the Mollys could get their hands on, whether by mining it themselves or by pilfering it from BMM transports. It is however an inefficient, oversized station that has difficulty generating the power to keep all of its facilities running. Mollys have been known to pass up a shipment of gold for one of H-Fuel, simply because the latter was in greater demand at Garvagh. Still, despite its flaws, the station is the center of Molly gold processing, and crucial to the survival of their organisation.
