Battleship Montmorency was previously deployed to the Languedoc system as a rearguard while the bulk of the Gallic Royal Navy advanced into Orkney and the Tau systems. Though the Royal Navy viewed Languedoc as largely pacified after the Council’s retreat, the Battleship's fighter wings conducted patrols of the system's trade lanes and inspect ships who attempted to enter Dauphine.
Currently the Battleship Montmorency has taken up the position formerly held by La Riche and is now tasked with securing the supply lines passing through Orkney on their way to the front lines.
