The Lancaster Trade Centre was the first station to be constructed in Newcastle after its discovery. From Lancaster, DSE built out the Trade Lanes to Carlisle and beyond, while Border World Exports and Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing used it as a depot to establish their own facilities.
In recent times, the importance of Lancaster has been greatly diminished. Border World Exports administers the station, using it mainly as a storage depot for Scarborough and the Carlisle settling efforts.
