Liberty

Jane Johnson, born at Planet Manhattan, New York, Liberty, started her carrer as a reporter for a popular newslatter at Manhattan.
Her life was quite normal, she lived in a little apartment, got money from her job and got along quite well. Then one day she got some information on The Order, which is a very well know terrorist group in Liberty, that would bring the Order in coherence with the Liberty Security Force (LSF) and the libertorian governement.
Of course she knew that this would be the greatest story of her life, if the informations turned out to be correct. So, ambitious as she was, she collected more and more information on that strange connection. Finally she found out, that the Order was a special group of men, recruited by the libertorian governement to defeat a dark threat. She didn't know what kind of threat that should have been, but she found proof for a connection between the Order and the LSF, which she just had to publicate.
Shortly before she came to do that, some black dressed men knocked on her door and told her she was to come with them. Of course she was afraid and had no clue, what they wanted from her, but it was quite obvious that they won't accept a "no"... So she went with the men. They told her to get in their car - wich was a black van and reminded her of some movies she'd seen - and put a sack over her head.
The next thing she noticed, was her completely different destination. After an endless seeming time they took the sack away and she saw that they all were in a cavern-like tunnel. The tunnel got brighter and brighter and ended in a giant room. She was ordered to sit down on a chair and to tell those people what exactly she found out about the Order.
When she told them everything, she got an injection and fell asleep.

The Order

When she woke up, she found herself in a completely different environment. She sat in a small room with only a bed, a chair and a window. She looked outside that window and everything she saw was snow, snow and... have a guess - snow.
Suddenly the door opened and a man came in the room. "come on, your training starts now, i hope you are fit enough... it won't be easy."

That is how her complete life got turned upside down - for the first time - and her training as an Order recruit started. In the next 17 jears she claimed a good position as a battleship commander for The Order and found out, that fighting is her destiny and the one thing she was really good at. Also she got her own battleship of the Osiris class in that time - the Thunderstorm.
She quickly became a well known captain and got respected by the whole Order. But as it were in her nature, that hasn't been enough. She began to fly into Liberty space to spread fear under the libertorians, who told the world, The Order would have been a terrorist organisation. But her goal was not revenge - as one could think - but fame and money, simple as that.
As The Order noticed that, they ignored it at first. But because of her continuing these assaults and starting bigger attacks on Liberty, they couldn't accept it anymore and arrested her often and for long time periodes. But that just motivated her and she began to become a real problem to the Order, so the Order High Command decidet to send a group of assasins to eliminate her quickly and quietly.
Jane though already had good connections to very high ranked members of the Order who warned her just in time. So the hour before the assasines shall came to kill her, she managed to gather a crew of her best friends around her and escaped with the Thunderstorm.
The action didn't stay unnoticed and the Order High Command sent out a fleet of 2 Osiris class battleships, 6 bombers, 3 cruisers and a variety of smaller crafts to kill her as a betrayer in an open battle. Jane quickly noticed, that she would not stand any chance against a fleet of this size and escaped.
The fleet followed her through the whole Alaska system untis she nearly reached the jumphole to New York, when the battleship commanders got order to stop all engines and fire everything they got at the Thunderstorm.
They hit.
They hit hard.
They hit so hard, that they thought the Thunderstorm could not survive by any chance and they flew back to Planet Toledo. And they weren't that wrong.. The Thunderstorm was nearly completely destroyed. Jane was hit hard by a falling ship plate and got unconcious, right after she managed to open the jumpgate to New York... However she did even that.

So that was the state of the great battleship Thunderstorm; the engines had been lost, the decks were burning, just one single weapon still worked and kept on firing for some time in no specific direction, until even the last rest of energy was gone and the ship quietly flew through the New York system. Jane herself were burried under the 2 tons of steel, unconcious, and the rest of the crew either had similar problems, but most of them were dead.
But Jane was lucky. There is only an incredible small chance for an unguided ship to get through the minefield surrounding the Alaska-New York jumphole, but the battleship hit not more then 2 mines until it's been in open space, flying around with a dead or near-to-dead crew, guided only by small corruptions of the sun or floating asteroids that flew against its hull.

Liberty Rogues

While all that happened, another well known and feared group of pirates and murderers, known as the Liberty Rogues, sat in their base in a giant asteroid field, called The Badlands, and smoked cardamine.
They didn't give a damn what happened outside the base, there were some patrols, but the great majority of the rogues just sat in Buffalo Base and had a good time. But the good mood suddenly got interrupted by an earthquake. Or at least most of the Rogues thought it was an earthquake, ignoring the fact that this would be impossible on a space station.
What really happened was the Thunderstorm, destroyed and burning, crashing into the base. The Rogues of course thought they were attacked by liertorian forces, left the cardamine burning on their seats, the beers lying on the floor and jumped into their ships - some to defeat the enemy, some just to watch and some for no particular reason, just because everyone did that.
When they all gathered outside the base, the Rogues noticed the lag of a battle - of course some of them accidently thought other Rogues were the enemy and started to shoot at one another, but that has just been 3 ships, no no real battle - and the apperance of the increddible big but also incredibly broken shape of the Thunderstorm.
