Languedoc is a system in the Gallic Border Worlds that harbors one of the two connections into Sirius. For centuries it was heavily patrolled by the Gallic Royal Navy, but during the Second Gallic War it was conquered by a Council sneak-attack. Within a year, Council had opened a path through the minefield and used the resources in Languedoc to construct Reunion Station and contact the rest of Sirius, breaking Gallic isolation.
Languedoc is one of the two systems primarily controlled by Council, and produces a large portion of the resources to fuel Council's war effort. However, the Gallic Royal Navy is amassing a colossal armada in the Dauphine system and plans to take back Languedoc within the year- a move that would force Council to seek refuge in the Tau-systems and allow the Gallic Monarchy to begin the invasion of Sirius.

- A mining colony was established on Quillan in 699 A.S., when easily accessible deposits of copper and other metal ores were found on the planet's surface. For a long time, the Gallic Metal Service was administering the colony with the help of Gallic Police and smaller shipment companies from Gallia. Despite rising pirate acitivity in Languedoc, Quillan mining operations proved to be profitable, and resource extraction on the planet was rising until the beginning of the Second Gallic War.
- In the end of 815 A.S., a large Council fleet has breached through Quillan's orbital defenses. The Council armed forces landed on the planet in attempt to gain control of the mining operations. Gallic Army regiments stationed on planet's surface resisted the invaders, but after many months of fierce fighting the Council troops gained the upper hand. The victory was ensured by both numerical superiority of the Council and by the support of local miners who were inspired by the success of Marne rebellion.
- Location: F/6
- Diameter: 12,417 km
- Mass: 8.92 x 10e24 kg
- Terrain: Terrestrial
- Temperature: -34°C to 20°C
- Escape Velocity: 10.37 km/sec

Planet Cerbere
- Planet Cerbere is relatively small for the gas giant class, and it is just as deadly as its name suggests. The planet's atmosphere contains a combination of acids hazardous for most types of research equipment. Due to dangers and high costs, lower levels of Cerbere atmosphere remain unaccessible for Gallic scientists to study.

Remoulins Debris Field
- A small field of debris remaining after destruction of the Remoulins Station.
|
Languedoc Mine Field

- >>>WARNING: MINES DETECTED<<<
- A large and dense mine field sealing access to the Orkney Jump Hole.
|
Lozere Asteroid Field
- A medium-sized asteroid field without any significant mineral deposits. Pirate activity is very high, and it's rumored that a hidden Brigands base is located inside the field.
|
Herault Ice Asteroid Field
Herault Ice Asteroid Field
- A relatively large field of ice asteroids. Pirate activity is so high that even the Council ships rarely dares to venture into Herault, while civilians just avoid it at all costs.
|
Montpellier Debris Field
- Several small debris fields not far from Montpellier Station are remnants of space construction activity in this area. Council expanded them farther with debris produced by clearing the mine paths.

Space Stations
- Nimes is the second largest settlement (after Planet Quillan) in Languedoc, a system located on the very edge of the Gallic space. For nearly 15 years, it was one of the few places controlled by the lawful Gallic forces after Languedoc system was overrun by the Council. However, in 814 A.S. it was quietly penetrated by Council special forces with the help of loyal civilians. In a few hours, all Police and Navy defenders were neutralized, and the Council reported about the most bloodless victory in the history of Second Gallic War. Since then, Nimes has become the center of Council administration for Languedoc and Dauphine.

Montpellier Guard Station
- Montpellier is a defensive installation built by the Navy over two hundred years ago to secure the mines that hide the pass into the Orkney system. In 817 A.S. it was heavily damaged by a suicide attack of a Council battleship that carried thermonuclear explosives. Most of the station, however, survived, and after breaching the mine field Montpellier was rebuilt, repressured, and assigned to a new task: defend the newly discovered path to other Houses from any attempts of the Gallic Royal Navy to retake the path and threaten the newly established Reunion Station.

- Narbonne is an asteroid base located in the center of the Lozere Field. Established more than two hundred years ago and providing shelter for pirate patrols from nearby Dauphine and even from Burgundy, the Narbonne Base started operating long before the system of Gallic Trade Lanes and Jump Gates reached Languedoc. During the Second Gallic War, the base had served as an important transition point for the Council and Maquis fighters heading to attack Gallic Navy forces near Nimes and Remoulins.

- Maquis have established a base of operations in Languedoc in 691 A.S., in the times when they were still part of The Council, and long before the system was taken under control of their former home faction. Maquis of Languedoc are known to be very loyal to the Council, and even dispatched ships to fight with Gallic Navy on Council's side when battles for Languedoc took place. In exchange, Council supports Limoux both financially and technically, repairing their ships and providing new ones. Using the help they receive, Maquis send raiding parties as far as Dauphine and Burgundy, plundering civilian convoys, and attacking Navy patrols.

- Battleship Montmorency was deployed to the Lanquedoc system to cover the rear of the Gallic Royal Navy's advance from Gallia into Orkney and the Tau systems. The Royal Navy views Lanquedoc as largely pacified after the retreat of the Council from the system. The battleship conducts patrols of the system's trade lanes, inspects ships attempting to enter Dauphine, and often conducts live fire drills to remind anyone watching that the Royal Navy is present in force.

- The rapid industrialization that followed the settlement of the Sirius Sector has resulted in large fields of Scrap Metal, the detritus resulting from extensive manufacturing and mining operations. These debris fields present both a navigational hazard and a potential second-stage resource, so a small cottage industry has sprung up among those who collect scrap metal and resell it at smelting plants.
