Often called the "Hand of Mephisto," the original M6 Centurion distinguished itself in combat repeatedly. Despite these victories, the Corsairs continued to refine its basic design until the result was the M7 class, which honorably bears the same moniker. The new Centurion, therefore, has not been so much manufactured as bred to be a mighty ship in every way.

Review
Being the Gladiator's little brother, made the Centurion a rather rare craft to be seen in the hands of most Corsairs. Unlike it's brother, this ship packs 2 more extra guns (even if they're class 8), but only carries one CD/Torpedo slot. Another little downside of this fine vessel is the fact that unlike the Gladiator, it uses the basic 9000 energy powercore most Heavy Fighters have. But that little issue can be easily solved if the pilot uses weapon groups to control the energy consumption. But this isn't an ordinary Heavy Fighter, being true to the Corsair snubcraft nature it feels more like a hybrid of a HF and a VHF, much like the Gallic Heavy Fighters. In terms of maneuverability it acts like an Eagle VHF, which makes it a slow Heavy Fighter, but that is balanced with the Corsair style hull armor - 9200 points (and that is a lot for a heavy fighter), together with the thin and Titan-like hitbox the Centurion becomes a rather hard to put down fighter in the hands of pilots that prefer speed over hull strength on the battlefield. For me it will always be the number one choice of a Corsair snubcraft.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Bloodl1ke |
