Due to its quick advance, the Red Hessians were caught off guard with its appearance in [[Dresden]], prompting a haphazard drive towards improving the defenses of [[Leipzig Station]] lest the Corsairs win any more ground capitalizing on the brief momentum they gained during their incursion.
